I want to use my PROcede now... It's sitting in my apartment, and I have my new N55 powered X5, and no tune. ... I guess I need to break the engine in first though, no point tuning a new engine with 25 miles...

How does it feel compare to driving the car?

It doesn't have the same riding on rails feeling as the 335xi did, but it is very stable even in high speed sharp turns. I have the adaptive drive system, but I haven't had a chance to let it rip in sports mode yet. I want to break the engine in right before getting all crazy.
Performance wise, like I said, I've only put 25 miles on her since pick up yesterday, but it accelerates very well. I've only taken her up to about 65/70 SO i can't really say that this engine is better or worse than the N54. Once the break in period is over, I can give a better report. BUT we are comparing an almost back breaking 5000lbs SAV to a 3000-3500 335... The acceleration is going to be nowhere as close...

Very good news. I'm trying to figure out my next bimmer. Ordered an x5d for the wife, was looking at the 550, or even an s4. But proceed on the n55......hmmmm. What about proceed on the 550??
Or proceed on the diesel? 600lbs of torque?

yea i think the 335xi is more than 3000-3500, lol.
Once I know Shiv has plans for the N63 engine on the 550i/xi, I'm jumping into it. I was just going to buy it and hope he does, but with the features that has come out this year for the Procede and they're able to port it over, I'm all there with that twin v8. Can you say 550+ HP & TQ on a 4100lbs car.

Perfect. Prob be picking it up this December. I'll like to ride it stock for the winter break in and put the procede in around April. Vishnu, what you think of a N63 harness by April '11

If they are local, give then my number and I'll work something out with them. I was going to start on the n63 after the n55 but there is so much commonality that doing them in parallel would be a good idea.

Shiv or Calvin, any idea if your current products will work on the new 335is N54 set-up and if so, will there be any upside from the factory added cooling extras? I know the engine management chip is different, so the Dinan flash is not compatible. Will your piggyback system work?
