Just as an update they are working on adding ignition timing to the speedo and meth flow or air/fuel to the oil temp. All user adjustable and able to be enabled/disabled on the fly.

They're working on two simultaneous products that use this in dash technology.

The first is obviously the new JB3 board. This is a complicated process as BMS is throwing a lot of stuff on it. They have a full time engineer working on it. Maybe XMAS release? Don't hold me to it but that's the approx time frame

But almost as cool is a little stand alone gauge product primarily for flash tune owners. This is a lot simpler and will be released sooner. It's a little box that plugs in the OBDII port and allows flash owners to display boost, timing, air/fuel, etc, on the dash as those can all be read accurately from the CAN bus with a flash tune. Then it will have a couple external inputs if they want to connect their meth system or a meth light trigger, external boost sensor, etc. Finally it will have a built in soft delete for cat and specific codes so no downpipes fix is required. A very awesome and unique little product.

Hate to quote my own post but for those that missed it yesterday morning....

For those that are wondering why a lot of companies are offering similar features there is a simple answer. They were all copied from BT. With the BT cable under the instrument cluster you have a list of dash activations that would normally be used by the dealer to test the gauges. BT worked out what all these commands do and created a list. For example you can turn on the turn signal lights, activate a test pattern, turn on all the blue lights, move the tach, fuel gauge, oil gauge, etc. So what the tuners are now doing is just reusing these cluster test commands to display information to users on the dash. It's really very simple to do and I expect many others will do the same. The only limit is your creativity and time. For example BMS recently learned the radio volume control button commands which may be used for map selection, custom tuning on the fly, etc.

The radio buttons(1-6) or the actual radio volume button? And if it is the radio vol button, what happens when u hit the one on the steering wheel?

Steering wheel controls. Basically what I'm saying with the right commands which anyone can find given a CAN sniffer and some time you can do anything you want. It's not rocket science. So don't be surprised to see map switching based on D/DS mode, the tunes short shifting your automatic transmissions for you, etc.

Procede has just come out with feature "X".........JB3.........."me too"!!!!

LOL they always have a similar/same solution within minutes or days of a new Procede feature.....................It would be better for all of us if they began to "truly" innovate and come up with new features/improvements that Procede didn't already have. Healthy competition is great for consumers...........following the leader is just blah.....

Very interesting. Automatic gear shifting will be nice. Go from D to D/S and you get 1 additional boost psi and less timing. Now that's on the fly map switching. I congratulate all tuners this year for stepping up their innovations and integrating these features with their engine tune.

Let me qualify myself by saying i haven't bought a tune yet. I have been in the computer business for 30 years and video games for 10 and announcements like this stink of market freezing and vaporware. All this is meaningless until they ship a usable and stable product.

While I hold no special affinity for either, from where I am standing the procede is about a year ahead of anything bms has. Kinda of like the iPhone. Android gets close and Boom, new iPhone sends them scrambling.

Please don't flame me, just an opinion. Always remember that opinions are like ass****, everybody has one. Go ahead, call me an ass**** I know I'm begging for it!

There were accusations of vaporware on the JB1, JB2, JB+, and JB3 as well. Mostly by people who had a vested interest in the products not being released. And we know how those turned out. The reality is this technology more or less ready to go. At this point it's simply a matter of working out the production of thousands of units and finalizing various aspects of the software.

Since you certainly make it sound like these features are really simple and easy to implement. Let me ask you this. Why does it take a full time engineer an estimated 5 months to get these features/product out to the market? Just wondering...

i think it is gimmicky on any platform, but given the timing it is clear that bms was working on this before shiv got it to market, if memory serves me I think shiv was working on using the digital dash display, and bms suggested that it was slow to update and the fuel gauge would be a better choice.

either wat two guys are trying to build the best mouse trap, it makes sense that there are similarities, especially when they both have the same constraints

I'm not an engineer but developing the new board and firmware is detailed and time consuming work. And some of the components have lead times of 60-120 days which spreads development and testing out. But once you have a working CAN platform, which BMS now has, the actual commands to move dash things is easy if you copy them from the BT like everyone has done.

PS. ever seen an N54 go "this fast"?

I have to say, I think I like my coworkers Evo 4G better than my new iphone. The Evo is one hell of a phone.
