I have found pictures of OEM and Forge DVs and overlayed them:

There doesn't appear to be much in it - real measurements may be somewhat different though.

The current forge units don't look like those in your photo.

The forge units are 'taller' i.e. in the left to right plane in your photo, but not in the up/down plane.

Cool thanks - it is the up and down plane where I am restricted, so I should be OK.

I know that Forge have updated the design since the version above - and if anything, the new design look maginally smaller that the ones above.

Just received mine.

Not very happy...

The package was all messed up, the valves have several dents and there where no instructions on the pack.

You can find some instructions on the forge website but they do not have instructions on how to open the valves, which we must know in order to exchange the springs.

Luckily I found this link on the forum: http://www.namotorsports.net/docs/FMDVBM35B.pdf

Read it before trying to open the valves!

I have found no use whatsoever for the spacers that are included in the pack ... Does anyone know if they are needed???

Spacers are only necessary if the supplied springs do not work adequately - they allow fine tuning. Just go with the yellow spring initially and see how you get on.

+1

I'm one week in now with the new Froge DV's. I have a DMS remap and the yellow spring with no spacers seems to be working well for me. I actually spoke to forge directly regarding the correct spring set up.

They confirmed that if the car has tune its a straight forward yellow spring thats required. Although all each car is different so they can be fine tuned if required the spacers will allow the piston to close quicker when off boost as it further coils the spring. Put too many in though and the spring becomes to stiff and you might have problems opening the valve properly when on boost.

Forge kindly fitted the yellow springs for me before they shipped.

Hope this kind of explains it

Do these valves look new?

Just wondering... It looks like I received used valves instead of new ones...
