I have an awd 335 as well and I pull on E55's all day (I also have probably everything under the sun in my car though)...335xis are heavier and do have more drivetrain loss, but it is not nearly as drastic as people make it sound on these forums. I have NEVER lost to a 335i or 135i and I've raced many...point being, Im just shocked that speedo isnt moving a little quicker.

There was a maxed out 135 at my track last week,like maxed out,v4,meth,race and couldnt break 110mph.I was trapping 117 that day. e55s stock can trap 116-118 STOCK lol are you trapping over 118? |

but in all honesty if you've been on a mustang dyno before and compared to non-awd 335 the difference is pretty big. On EPL's dyno a stock 335i makes about 20-25whp more than an XI. |

this is my car on map 7...I have no reason to lie about pulling on E55's...their VERY quick cars but arent able to keep up with my set-up (but once you start modding them its a COMPLETELY different story). Again, I have no reason to lie. |

I put down 390/410 awhp/awtq on a dynojet on map 8 in 90 degree weather...I believe on an M5 nozzle....since then I swapped for an M10 nozzle (spraying about 1000ml/min) and am running a custom map with 17psi sustained...should put me around 410-420 in colder temps. You are right abou the rear wheel drive models putting down more power though.
@grkm3 - v3/downpipe - V3 and a couple things do the math...the result should be clear. Last edited by erm324; 08-03-2010 at 11:23 PM.. |

no offence but the e55 you ran had no s/c on,more than likely his pump failed.Its a notorious problem on the e55s and way worse than the fuel pumps you guys go threw. I ran 12.2 that same day at 117.30 BONE STOCK there are stock e55s in cali that are in the 11s trapping 120 at sac.I just find it hard to believe becasue Iv ran like 3 different 335s at new englad dragway and none of them trapped over 114 there. post up your time slip if you have a chance |

thats not my car in the two videos I posted.....those are videos I found online of 335's with FAR LESS MODIFICATIONS than I do. My car is the one in the first video.
You ever run one on the street? Alot of guys at the track sit there all day spinning - hence the terrible times. Also, in the videos on youtube youll see alot of modded 335's beating the e55 and in others (different 335 with practically the same mods) the e55 walking the 335, as in this case: comes down to the car. End of story, Lets not hijack this thread and get back to the EPL TURBOS topic.... Last edited by erm324; 08-03-2010 at 11:31 PM.. |

Im not talking from the videos, im talking from experience as well. I figured you didnt have experience racing 335's which is why I posted some videos to give you an idea.
JP sorry for the hijacked thread. Anyways jp I think with meth youd gain a couple degrees more timing, and from raising the boost you should be neat 400awhp on a mustang dyno - which is VERY good |

And 0-160 km/h (0-100 mph) should be one of the best speed ranges for an 4wd vs my 2wd. Regardless of my colder ambient temp (55 f) and gas (93 oct), your car would have crushed me in this speed range. Period. Sorry, but I really thought a couple of upgraded snails would have performed BETTER than what I just saw in your video..... Last edited by Big Tom; 08-04-2010 at 01:51 AM.. |

![]() Like I said early on, and like my dyno showed... this is a moderate upgrade with equally moderate results. I can run a bit more boost all the way to redline on pump gas. I made on average around 30whp throughout the mid-RPM range with more up top (5800+) compared to my stock turbos. Once I have meth in a week or so the IAT's won't be an issue and I'll be able to up the boost more and make some more fun videos. Last edited by jpsimon; 08-04-2010 at 10:24 AM.. |
