Wierd - according to WWL website my car was "discharged" and "delivered" at Port Hueneme as of 7 AM this morning. When I call the BMW 800 number it says the car is "at port, waiting for vessel."

I wonder if the vessel its waiting for is the truck that takes it to the VPC?

Anybody know?

Me too. The 800# previously said en route, and the OC website still says in transit, although the WWL website says it's been discharged & delivered as of 7am this morning. Oh well - I trust the WWL website way more than the BMW 800#. I wouldn't worry about it. It'll probably say "at VPC" tomorrow or wednesday. It seems to take 24-48 hours for the tracking data to update on BMW's data, based on my experience w/ the departure from Bremerhaven.

You should have the car in no time. The VPC is about a mile from the Port itself. Both the VPC and Port is in Oxnard, an hour from L.A.

Well, I had a nice break from my twice daily calls to the 800# while the ship was making it's way across the pond and thru the canal, but looks like I'll be starting up again. BMW's phone bill must be huge from all the calls we keep making to the 800#.......

Oh I know - I've already called twice today. No change. I hope we don't end up sitting around waiting just to get to the VPC....

Nah, the VPC is like a mile from the docks. If anything, there might be a delay while it sits outside since there's been a good number of ships passing thru PH recently and there might be a backlog waiting to get processed. But let's hope not! Supposedly Priority 1 cars get processed first and if there's a Priority 1 backlog they work on Saturdays too!.

LOL, I always wonder what happens since I think most of the cars are Priority 1, do they just flip a coin to see which Priority 1 goes first? LOL.
Edit: Has the status changed for you when you call the 1-800 number yet?

I also got that that message this morning when I called the 1-800 number. My car hit Port Hueneme yesterday, by the way.

According to the OC website, I'm at the VPC! Wow, the website actually beat the 800# for once. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll make the saturday ship from Long Beach to Hawaii.

I'm almost certain that you may be able to take delivery this weekend! I'm aiming for Tuesday myself:mad: It still says at port waiting for vessel on 1-800 number and in transit to vpc for me on the OC site.

wj4- Don't be too jealous! Even if it is available for me to pick-up this weekend, I'm working all weekend here in L.A. and have to go up to the Bay Area where the dealer I bought it from is to pick it up. So I can't pick it up 'til next week anyway. You'll still get yours before mine!

^I'm only available this weekend and Tuesday. I'm busy the rest of the week unless they do a midnight pick up program, lol.

Too funny. You're not going to believe this but the fleet manager left me a voice mail tonight saying the car had arrived!!!

:rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

Now I'm stuck. The car is sitting at the dealership and the earliest I can get there is Monday, which is a holiday. I'm going to call first thing tomorrow and see if we can get all my ducks lined up so I can pick it up on President's Day.

I can't believe this is finally happening!

Why do you have to hurt me like that! Especially on Valentines Day! The car made it to NorCal pretty fast huh.

Edit: Just curious, what is your status now on the 1-800 number and OC?

800 number says "Vehicle in transit" and OC says its still at the VPC.

Go figure. I'm pretty impressed at how quickly it got up to NorCal too. He called me at like 6 PM so I figure it must have just pulled in.

I hope I can pull it off for this Monday!

Did you get any factory options like spoiler or carbon fiber lip? If you didn't, maybe that's part of the reason why you got it so fast..since the dealership didn't have to do any extra work.

I hope I can pick it up this weekend! lol. You got me super hyped up now. I don't have anything on my car that needs to be installed at the dealership so it should be relatively fast as well!

Nope - all stock stuff, nothing for the dealer to do except clean it up, toss in some floor mats (they'd better!), and hand over the comfort access keys!

Hey guys, just wondering what day did the ship landed at PH? I know it's before the 11th for sure. Thanks!
