in the future do you guys plan on offering separate pieces from your kit? for example, front bumper only.

I have the DTM hartge lip installed on my car. FRP is just a fancy name for fiberglass. And as shragon pointed out, the video shows how durable their bumper is; not all fiberglass is created equal, as made evident by tokion's video, and the DTM hartge lip.

Hmm, interesting..so I am a little confused. FRP is not pure fiberglass then? Because I have seen other JDM fiberglass kit that will crack easily and defintely will not withstand that kind of punishment. Just confused since there's another poster saying FRP is the same as pure fiberglass?

well, heres from my personal experience...i had a spoiler that was gfrp repaired in the shop and from the piece that was broken, if looked like fiberglass....the body shop said that they would use fiberglass to repair the unit so im guessing that it was a kind of fiberglass to begin with....otherwise when repairing grfp, fiberglass will not 'stick' to it

Based on the video, this has to be made with FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) which gives standard fiberglass some flexibility. If it had been made out of traditional fiberglass, I would think that it would be in chunks after taking that hammer to it.

We just need one more deposit. What's the holdup? This is helluva deal and the adiditional 'early adopter' discount basically covers shipping/customs.

For a better approximation the front bumper could look like this on the E90.

Just wondering... how does FG compare to CF? Which is lighter and more durable? And do you guys think there will be a big price gap between the two?

The Durability and Weight differences will be negligible. The price difference i can assure will not. Why is everyone so concerned with durability even with that video showing the strength. Its not like you guys are gonna get into a fender-bender daily.

You'll be surprised, lol. In the past 5 months, 3 people have hit me. twice were little fender benders and one really big one where I was rear-ended by a car going 45 mph when I was stopped, lol. SO I just want to be sure, lol.

my body shop guy told me if you spray OEM paint on fiberglass (or a different material then the OEM material for the bumpers) the shades will be different, most often white and silver. You really need to color match it with the cars there. Any comment? But then again for so cheap I shouldn't really complain.
