Hi all, just to confirm i bought the exhaust from tischer the US version. I actually just got it installed today.
All it it cost about $1400 delivered + 250 Custom duty. Install cost me $150 dollars at my BMW mechanic. They had to take the car to an exhaust shop to get my original exhaust pipes slightly flanged as there was a small difference in diameter between the PE exhaust Y pipe and my original exhaust Y Pipe. I would say this is the reason because my car is 2006 Pre-LCI and has a slightly different exhaust than 2007. It looks good and sounds good. I have been told the sound will change after a while. I am happy with it but going to see if I can get the muffler raised slightly for a cleaner look. PM me or post if you have any specific questions. |

Hi Dragon20, Glad to hear it all worked out. This seems like a pretty nice mod. Have you noticed any change in the sound after break in? I want to ask if you got any compliments from people who didn't know about the change. Is it something that people will notice straight away?
I'm also wondering if it might be too loud for some situations. Our cars in Australia have 500cc less capacity than the US spec 328i and ours are not fitted with secondry cats - Maybe a difference, or maybe not? |

Actually, at MDTC whenever Stu passed in his 325i it was LITERALLY silent. I guess that's from all the other cars blasting past at full noise

I don't think you can rely on the pics from the catalog because they are often just illustrations and detail won't be accurate. Its better to look underneath the rear of your car to check if the pneumatic valve exists.
