I received the spoiler today. Having never seen the OEM one in person, I can't comment on it side by side. Judging from photos, this rep doesn't see to jut up as high though. This may be a plus for non M cars, as we dont have the wide body to support the look of this thing. Obviously a big con for someone who wanted an exact replica though

The weave looks fine to me. I couldn't spot any imperfections and there are no cracks or blemishes in the resin. Looks pretty clear too. Definitely no blue tint.

Judging from the weight and construction, it is cf over FPR. No one will be able to tell either way. It did not come with any adhesive. I'm not too keen on having a rep installed with betalink, so I will probably go with double sided tape.

Now you're probably wondering I i haven't posted photos... Well, my car is at the "shop" having the trim painted. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow (snowing pretty bad today). I will take photos once it is installed. I haven't seen any photos of these on bsm or jb e92s so I'm pretty excited.

okay here are some unfortunate comparison shots. sorry my phone camera sucks. but it is clearly not a replica, but rather "inspired" by the performance spoiler

this is what OEM looks like: http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ale/photo4.jpg

must say looks ok for the money but the oem is pure cf and very! light weight with a smaller weave, at the end of the day you pay youre money for what you want.

i still think i will put it on my car, as i mentioned before it may be better suited for non M vehicles.

if someone wants to pick it up from me for $130, you can have it. i'll buy the OEM one for a more direct comparison in that case.

Still wanna see it installed.. with decent pics please lol. As for pure CF vs. CF over FG.. as long as it is properly made, on a part this small there is going to be no noticeable strength or weight difference.

i'll take more photos on a better day. was just too damn tired after spending 45 minutes relocating a pile of snow so i could park. sorry guys.

as you can see, it's very subtle. i suppose it's somewhere in between oem bmw perf and oem m3 spoiler

Low kick on it, doesn't look too bad.

i think the point to make is that its a cf rear spoiler its not really a less expensive version of the performance one as it is not the same shape. you have to remember that bmw spend fortunes testing their parts and someone (us) has to pay for that. personally i dont mind as i know that the part will do what its designed for and that if i decide to drive the car at 155mph the spoiler wont fly off or throw me off the road. having said that your spoiler doesnt look out of place and is well worth the price. did you tape or betalink it?

Tape. Don't want a rep adhered permanently . I like it. If I had the wide rear fenders of an m3 I'd definitely prefer the more "in your face" OEM version

Looks nice but I don't think I'd go to the trouble of switching out my m3 spoiler. Very similar.
