Yes you are wrong, BOVs(a good one so not ********) or DVs are needed when the boost is being increased b/c the plastic DVs that come stock simply cannot handle the 17+ ish boost. A synapse or a tial BOV use the pressure the car is creating to hold the valve closed so there is no leaking and then use vacuum to open them. ******** depends mostly on the pressure of spring to hold back the boost until it reaches a certain level that the spring can't hold back and releases the pressure(it also uses a slight amount of vacuum too). So go back and do some more homework before you are so sure.

It's not due to the stock diverter valves not being able to hold higher boost; it's because they can't re-close upon shifting fast, resulting in a flutterfest.

So for a dyno or single-gear pull, the stock DV's will hold any amount of boost you can throw at it. But running 20psi while shifting fast might not work perfectly.

And doesn't this shifting at high pressure eventually cause cracking and leaking? I've seen a few people on here that were leaking boost until they got rid of the stock DVs and then all was well. Bottom line is a BOV soul purpose is not sound(to some) and the stock components are not made to handle the torture of higher boost pressures like good aftermarket BOV/DVs can.

After i did tuned the spring of the bov. I almostly can hear the blow off sound. But the the bov still stucking air when the car is in idle mode. I will be change it to Synapse or greddy later on. Does you guys think Automatic's car cannot blow off louder than Manual's car? I found someone is talking about this. And even it doesn't blow off when i am driving in normal. It does only when i doing high boost and then release the gas panel. Is it normal? Thank you you guys help, Thx Bake521.
