+1

I've been on the track with tuned 335s and they couldn't come close to keeping up with me under braking and cornering. On long straights, they were able to track me down, but once we hit the braking zone it was all over. I was so much quicker. And yes, 150lbs does make a difference on the track.

Yes, you can do the same mods on a 335, but the vast majority of the 335 guys are interested in tunes and not going into limp home mode if they do track their cars.

Lets see what this German company comes up with. They, unlike everyone else who has attempted to create a super/turbocharger for these cars has fallen into a black hole once the cars are running. This company is responding the same day if I get them an email early enough (time-zone difference). They claim to have engines currently running under boost.

To be honest, I'm not going to even think about FI for my car. I tend to keep cars a long time and want the reliability of my NA engine. It's the reason I purchased my 330 in the first place rather than a 335.

We'll see. I'm still skeptical.
Infos from Schaper in this issue in an german forum:

- System is available for all N52 (and N53) engines, also for 3, 5 and 6
- Why can so far only Schapper offers such an Kit: Mr Schapper statement:

"The development was difficult because of the lack of throttle valve in the N52 engine.
The Supercharger is available from June this year, as long as the trial runs in a 523i (also N52). This will then have 30.000km with the supercharger-kit. So far, everything works fine. The extra power is not a problem for the transmission.
Price was increased and is such expensive because of the added expense associated with the development."

dont turbo a non turbo car, way expensive and even if you successfully turbo it u wont get significant power gains without blowin yur motor cuz u cant run high amounts of boost.. build the motor an start with a 50 shot of nitrous and build up to 100.. its like running a turbo but only when u need it

They do. Says it brings it to 300 bhp. But for roughly 8500 and then you add in shipping. That is definitely not worth it

With a price that high I doubt maybe people are gonna buy it

300bhp.. So you can get your n52 to.. Well 265hp base, (pretty realistic estimates here) - 10bhp headers, 10bhp cat-back, 5bhp intake and another say 10 from tuning it all together, and we're already at 300bhp.. And the blower only claims 300? I'm guessing it's actually only putting in a couple psi (literally 2-3)with a really conservative tune.

So we'd

You can run plenty of boost, basic pump fuel (98 RON) no meth on a 335/135 they can go way over 22psi (where the stock turbos stop being efficient) and they're 10.2:1 cr.. N52's arent much higher at 10.7:1 which also means lower boost compresses for more power per psi.

N52 internals are already forged lightweight stainless soo..
