Unless Shinzo has a loaner car.....
You cant do it any other day?

Why don't you and I check to see if we can get our cars done tomorrow. And others pass by tomorrow that can leave a deposit.

I can meet people tonight if anyone wants to give me the deposit.

Weekdays just won't work, as I am starting a new job in Oakville on Monday. If something can be arranged for tomorrow, I am all-in. I'm off right now and live in Richmond Hill, so making it to Markham for Friday is simple.

FINAL ATTEMPT TO DO THIS:

What I propose is everyone on the list that is interested call Shinzo, tell them you are part of the group buy, and book an appointment with them that works for you.

Then just post up here that it has been done. It will have to be after May 12.

If we get 10 people with booked appointments, then we can move forward with the group buy...or I will discuss with Pierre what he can do for the ones that are booked, as I find it unlikely that he will turn people away as that would be bad business for them.

When you have a chance in the coming days, give them a call, and lets get booking!!!

IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS PLEASE CALL THEM BY MAY 6th

I will update the top list with people that have booked appointments......by May 6th I will see how many people have signed up and talk to Shinzo about it and see where we can go from there.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm just wondering why you guys would pay $180 for this when you can get it the vinyl from say bmwshadowline for $30 including shipping and apply it yourself? That is what I plan on doing...I just came across this thread and thought I would ask.

I looked into bmwshadowline before going the Shinzo route.

1. I don't want to spend the time doing this on my own. I would rather pay someone the labor to get it done properly, rather than spend my afternoon, if not whole day trying to get it on correctly.

2. I question the quality of the material being offered by bmwshadowline...at least at Shinzo I know what they are using, and I know its good quality and can hold up well against harsh weather.

3. bmwshadowline will give you a roll that is just enough to cover your window chrome trim....if you make a mistake you need to carefully remove it and try again...even if it gets mangled up in the process....or you have to buy another roll.

4. Shinzo will get it done...perfectly...no matter how much material or time it will take.

Having said that...if this group buy does not work out...I may look into other options

just came back from Shinzo. I didn't know about the GB until a few days ago, I had made my appointment last week.

Anyhow, paid $170 ( regular price $200) wrapped the window trim with gloss vinyl. All I have to say is that the trim looks absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend to everyone.

Great guys, product and service.

I rather pay a professional to do my trim. i dont have a steady hand or the patience to apply the vinyl anyways so rather not try. plus 170 is nothing to me.

Seems from nicocho's post that anyone that makes an appointment with them, will get the $170 anyway. So I think i will move forward with booking an appointment.

worst case scenario its $170, best case scenario its $160

Not a big deal either way.

Nicocho can you post some pics? Have not decided if I go gloss or matt yet.

Good points, I may still go the bmwshadowline route, if so I'll post a review. I'm not the handiest guy but I love working on Ingrid and this type of job requires patience more then anything.

got some crappy iphone pics. Ya I was thinking between the gloss and matte too, since I don't have any matte colour on my car I went with Gloss, and I'm happy with it.

I guess is all about personal preference.

before

After

hope this helps

Now I really have to figure out a way to get my car to Shinzo on a weekday. Ugghhh...

I tried that and it was the worst decision I ever made. I'm pretty handy and do all the maintenance on my cars but wrapping that stuff was next to impossible to do properly. Shinzo did mine a year ago and it looks great. However it cost me a total of $230 because of the additional expense of buying my own vinyl.

Just so you guys know, if over 10 people book an appoiointment...the price will go down to $150!!!!!

SO who booked, and who already went should post up here...so we can be clear as to how many people went/ are going in on this so we can get the right discount, and refunds for everyone.

THE BEST THING TO DO IS BOOK SOMETIME TODAY, OR NEXT WEEK
$150 <- DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS IF WE HAVE 10+ PEOPLE!!!!
