Not really. My car was full weight and on the lowest GIAC map because I didn't want to push my car that hard on the road courses.

Here's something that you should think about Harold, some people, like myself, actually go to a track and drive for fun and try to better their own times instead of worrying about others.
So, I post this thread, and then you start talking about how well your car does. Does it really make you feel better doing this?
I don't see Berk posting in this thread bragging about what they could have done. lol You know why? Because they're better than that.

Great driving... loved how you smoked by the other cars... I would pay you to let me sit in on some laps if I lived closer to you haha.

Thanks guys.
I have some things in mind that I can do better for the next time but overall, I'm pretty happy with my run.

Im guessing you have DTC/DSC off? Looks so fun! I'd be scared to try and hit 150 then fly off the track lol.

DSC was partly off. I push it once but don't have it completely off.
This way, if I get completely out of wack then I don't have to worry too much about hitting a wall.

That's what I did at the Nurburgring as well, I don't quite have the confidence in myself to leave it all off, nor the budget to fix the car after a big wreck....

Great video! Doing those times on a full weight car that is a true daily driver is fantastic and really shows how versatile these BMW's are. 146mph is flying and is probably faster than 90% of the cars on any given track day.

Thanks man! I really appreciate it.
It's a good thing that I was using the regular 91 octane map because I ran out of meth in the middle of my 4th session. The 5th session was on just 91 octane.
I was going through a gallon of meth/water every session and went through 16 gallons of gas in 5 sessions. lol

I had a great time out there.
The car performed flawlessly!
Anyone that is interested in my mods can search but I was on Hankook V12 street tires and the Cool Carbon pads worked extremely well.
That is amazing!!! I wish i could race you!!!
That would be a blast!!!

is this Laguna seca?
I just got Motor Trend and the Audi R8 and new Mustang Boss with pro drivers ran the course at around the same time. Around One minute and 41 seconds... so that is very impressive, and you don’t make a lot more HP then them.
The boss makes about 450 HP…

No, this is the Roval at Auto Club Speedway.
My best lap time at Laguna Seca is 1:52.

You shouldn't have any problem getting down to 2:00 mark. Back in 09, I did a 2:01.9xx in my bone stock 335i on the Michelin runflats.

That's a great time. You must be a damn good driver.
I really freak out before turn 1 though. I'm sure I go through turn 1-2 a lot slower than I could and I think that has a big impact with my times. That wall scares the crap out of me. lol
I was also noticing that the later it got, the slower I was even when my lines were getting a little better.

It was getting hotter throughout the day but I didn't realize that the heat would mess with my times that much, but the other guys in the garage were saying the same thing about their times. In session 4, I was pretty consistent with 2:04s and 2:05s.

So now you're comparing me with J Tyler? I'll take it.

I was just saying that I could have done it with better tires. That's all.
I'm sure other things as well like better driving skills and more balls but I'm completely fine with where I am with my daily driver.
For reference, I believe Jeff did 1:52 with the 335i in street trim our first time out. And in the street tire class these days you will need 1:49 or better to podium.

For the rest of us, we should be shooting for mid to high 1:50's with decent handling and power mods. I think my best was 1:57ish with good street tires.

Yeah...the wall is a bit intimidating when you're going 100+mph.

Your video really stirred up my urge to run that track again. Hopefully I can later this year.

Very wise! Especially on the Nürburgring where you almost have no safety zones before you hit the railguard. Too many people overestimate their own skills and wreck their car there.

It does scare me quite a bit.
If it wasn't my daily driver then it would be a totally different story.

Same reason I don't take Infineon's turn 10 too fast. Maybe when I hit the lottery I'll truly test my limits. For now, HPDE 3 is as high as I'll go. At least my LSD makes powering out of the turns a blast now.
