I never trust BMW fluids ever since I used there oil....it is terrible in my opinion lol! I used redline in a lot if cars that had more power than this one lol! I just like redline...use it in my differential to!

Why do you have to lower the car to the ground to shift thru the gears? Why not in the air with 4 Jack stands and a Jack on the front and on back for added safety? Is it really necessary to use a thermometer to see how hot the oils is our will the 6-8minutes be fine.

Also on some DIY it states to have the car running while filling the tranny....I have never understood this since car is already warned up previously but did you do this?

I added 6qrts the first time, put the filler plug in and started the car and added another quart. Went through all the gears, then checked fluid level and fluid was dripping out. Car's been on for 10min and fluid is still coming out...guess I can't add any more?

i woudlnt let it drip all the way, i would just open it if it looses a bit a fluid the second time, just close it and your done

i never used a tourqe wrench... LOL not even for my turbos or spark plugs, i did however for my Valvebody, but just close the fill plug tight just don't over tighten and don't leave it loose.

Cat won't start...had it idling for 20 mins and it just stopped like it lost all fuel...did a valve cleaning at same time...hope it is not related.
