so i have my paypal tied to my credit card and my bank account... how do i make it pay with the credit card and not the checking account? cause i think its set to use the credit card as backup

I was in the same situation, and I had to remove my bank account from my profile for it to use the credit card. Dunno if there's some other way though?

Try this: Paypal/profile tab/financial Information, billing agreements/edit funding options/I don't want the following funding sources to be charged:

so the checked means it can be charged and the unchecked boxes means it cant be charged? paypal does a great job NOT clairfying...

Not sure. I'd assume check to affirm the "I do not ...." to be true. Therefore, check your checking acct one and leave your credit card unchecked.
