I never think it is a great idea to name something that the customer doesn't know how to pronounce.
People will call it 'About ex's' or 'Abouts kisses' etc. Or they will just say let's go down the pub instead. |

Maybe choose a really short joke with a keyword in it that you can highlight in the sign, like...
A fish swims into a wall…Dam! I put the "sexy" in dyslexia! A seal walks into A Club! Two cannibals were eating a clown. One asks "Does this taste funny to you?" One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor. Hmmmm, maybe not actually. |

Shots n giggles.
Got any more info about the location of the club, maybe the building was well known as something else? Need to find/create something unique to set yourself apart. That's the difference between just giving something a name and building a brand. Blackpool is a crowded market and you need to stand out. Something like "innocent humor", sell "never been kissed" hats etc. Make it fun and relevant to area etc give all your advertising a theme, make it memorable. A better idea can probably be found with more info. Already some good suggestions from people on here that possibly just need a bit of molding to fit. |

Our target market is not from the local area so association with the current venue is not all that important. The current place / venue is called 'Beat Club', so I guess 'Comedy Beat" would tie in nicely though.
Getting bums on seats is not an issue for us as we bring in tens of thousands of people every year to Blackpool. |
