I haven't had problems updating before unless on USB 3.0 port, so I would say that the new firmware is common betwwen us?

Could be dependent on what version we were running before. What firmware revision did you guys update from? My last installed working firmware was 1.6.5.0-2525. If we were all on the same last revision, then that may be a possible clue.

EDIT: I am also I8A0S

Loaded 3.01 Aggressive linear throttle this morning. Low speed/cruising and takeoff behavior is improved from 2.03. This was my only annoyance with prior maps. This product just keeps getting better and better. FTMFW.

So what are the differences between v300 93 octane map & v3.01 "aggressive" map?

Just tweaked a couple settings? More HP/TQ out of the car vs v300?

My AP Manager shows the same thing and my ecu is I8AOS too.
I believe it's showing the new firmware that is partially installed on the AP.

If you open up your AP Manager and click on Options->Show Update Log, you will taken to a directory. Open up log.txt and search for sub text last known firmware= Mine shows:

last known firmware= v1.6.5.0-2525

What worries me is that the standard COBB response to these kind of problems is that the cable may be going out.

Already tried another cable and computer. I just hope my AP does not need to be sent in with the crappy limp prone v3.00 map still on my car.
My AP locked up on the update(firmware) screen as well, the AP manager sees the AP and starts the update but then stops updating with an error! when plugged into the computer or the car its locked on the updating screen. I have IJCOS btw.

Mine reads v1.6.3.2-2309. I take it you were running the Beta firmware and v300 map?

Sounds like it. At Cobb's suggestion, I went out last night and bought another usb cable. What a waste of time!

Yes v3.0. Doesn't look like there's anything common here. I just hope it's not hardware revision related somehow.

I had no problems updating my AP. Tested the sport std map on my commute today, and it's definitely a lot smoother. The on/off feeling is 100% gone, and I didn't even notice any throttle closures on partial throttle like I have with every other previous update. Feels roughly equivalent to the old 91 maps speed wise, just _much_ smoother.

I would like to know this as well if Cobb could chime in.

I left it be, then just kept restarting the process after the error and it finally went through. Not sure if its a overload thing or what. But it eventually worked after 3-4 tries.

Did your existing maps loaded on the AP stay there after the update? That's the only thing that I was questioning, otherwise my I8A0S update went fine and says FW is up to date, I just had to manually upload the new 301 maps.

My old maps stayed, but none of the new maps were added. I just manually deleted all the old ones, and then manually loaded up all the new ones.

My maps stayed. I kept 203 as my failsafe but my commute in on 3.01 aggressive linear throttle wincluded several wot runs and numerous stoplight stops/starts and was the best map ever for my car. Super smooth and completely predictable. perfect.

Uploaded the maps on the Ap manually, then flashed the new map in 2 minutes.

guys, please do take a backup of your ECU while the AP is connected to your PC/Laptop. With some of the flaky behavior you're seeing, you don't want to loose the only copy of your ECU rom that's held on the AP. Backup your data

We are aware that some users are having an issue updating their AccessPORTs via AP Manager. If the AccessPORT is stuck on the updating screen, please try pressing Ctrl+Shift+F11 while on the AP Manager Update tab. You should be able to force the AccessPORT out of updater mode this way.

Also, if you have many maps, or datalogs on the AccessPORT, please delete the older versions or some logs to free up space on the AccessPORT before updating.

We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and we will keep all of you updated! I apologize for this issue, but we will get it fixed!

Ian

Cobb, is there any perfmormance gains going from v2.03 to 3.01 aggresive? I'm not talking about "smoothing." What I specifically mean is there a noticeable gain in power? Or is "aggresive" just the new nomenclature for "93 octane map"?
