NASA NE - Lime Rock 9/23-24
NASA NE - Watkins Glen 10/1-2

NJ CCA - NJMP Lightning 10/16-17

PCA Schattenbaum - NJMP Thunderbolt 10/20-21

There may be others I'm missing but this seems about it. I know Trackdaze is down at VIR but doubt anyone would do that drive from tri-state.

Wanted to emphasis that the upcoming event at NJMP hosted by NJ BMW CCA has a run group specifically for first timers. This is a great way to get out there, improve your driving skills, and discover what your car is capable of.

Take a pic from the rear and shoot it off to the coordinator and confirm with him/her. That will give you a much better answer.

I'm probably going to remove my rear tint. 20% all around.

THX

Like in my mind I never even considered the tints..but it makes total sense that other drivers and ME.. would need to see clearly into other cars on the track..and Im sure for liability reasons they would demand it..especially w limo tints

Ughh..yet another obstacle to try and put a street modified car on the track..

No way they'll pass you with 5%, realistically 50% or 35-40% with non-dark interior...

Did you have any issues with 20%? I have 35%. The PCA event rules and car inspection did not state anything about tint.

It's just NJ CCA who has tint rules. And in terms of what's allowed, put it this way. If the driver behind you can see through your windshield chances are it won't pass.

Thanks. Sounds like I will be OK.

Helix is inspecting my car tomorrow.

I'm looking through the registration for the 16 th and 17th event at NJMP and I see the usual suspects. M3's, Porsche's, Evo's.

Then below my name, I see a Toyota Prius.

You sir, are baller. Nuff said.

For those who wanted to hit up the Glen, didn't really live upto the expectation. Weather was terrible and barely got any runs in.

Things did start to clear up 2nd half of day 2 but still couldn’t push it hard. Couple wet spots, painted surfaces were still slick… a lot of accidents that weekend.

I'm driving my M3 at the Sports Car Driving Association (SCDA) event at Lime Rock Park on Saturday October 29th. On track from 1pm to 5pm. 4x20 minute track sessions per run group. The cost is $345. SCDA is my favorite organization to do HPDEs with. Their events are less controlled than most but just as safe IMO.

Personally, I enjoy the added challenge of tracking cars in the rain. Smoothness, finesse, concentrating on the ever changing track conditions and finding the best "rain line" are the keys to success rather than who has the most horsepower. It's a necessary skill that many drivers seem to take for granted.

Agreed but when it's so bad that you can't even get on the track, then there's nothing to gain.

At Lightning this past weekend:

It was a toss up bet that and NASA, NJMP is clearly closer but I thought Summit was a more fun track. Oh wells, I'll catch you next season.
