A little perspective

The reason why so many people advise that you modify a 3 series BMW with moderation and subtlety is really simple: no matter what you do to it, at the end of the day it's still a 3 series.

Adding Lambo doors will not magically transform it into a Lambo, nor will effect its performance in any way except decreasing it. So in this line of reasoning, people are being advised to modify the cars in the same general idea as the factory's intent - still a 3 series but perhaps a bit more so.

That's why huge wings, bodykits with impossible air scoops, immense chromed wheels with 25 profile tires and 4" lips - all these make no sense precisely on the very vehicles they are typically installed on.

Just my opinion.

LAMBO DOORS ONLY COME ON LAMBOS FOOLS.

They are called scissor doors. Not Lambo Doors or Gull wing doors.

So if you put scissor doors on your car, that dosnt mean "you are trying to look like a lambo" Thats just gay.

If you drop M6 rims on a E92 does that mean your tryin to be a 6??? Retarded mentality.

If YOU personally like them, then JUST DO IT! I dont know if itll look good till i see em but if you like it do it.

Remember one thing... theres always (no matter what) gonna be someone out there that thinks sumthin you do or done is silly. But thats life. If you dont have people that love you and people that hate you, youre not doing shit in life.

Cant wait to see em

I thought about it. I found a shop that had already built a custom hinge for it in Atlanta. Including labor it was 4000. In the end I decided against it. I go to a lot of car shows and in the end I realized that dam near everybody has them and to top it off I saw a M6 with lambos parked becided an actual lambo at a car show and the Lambo is the car they truely belong on. No comparrison. They would look sick though. I go back to atlanta from germany soon. I will try to get pics. Should have took them last time I was there.

if ur car is heavily modded, i.e. show car, then go for it
just cuz not many have it, big head turner in parking lots

this is an e46 m3 with scissor doors.... if it had rims, bodykit, etc. it wud look much better
plus the e92's body is a lot more "sleek" than this e46's, so itll flow better

Are these things still in style anymore? Have you ever seen how crappy they are up close. Your door will flop around in the air with those crap flanges that they sell. They can't even hold up a light sport compact door, imagine on a BMW that weighs twice as much! Not to mention that since those big ass hinges lay inside your fenders so if you swing the door upward before its popped out you can dent your fenders up. Basically, those doors look retarded, they add weight to the car, and they function like crap.

+1 is that a G35 interior inside the 240SX?

As said earlier in the post, if you do get lambo or scissor or w/e they call them, make sure you slap on at least a Type-R sticker and a wing, so you can make sure to get all the HP out of those doors..

..If you're lucky enough, people might mistake your E92 for a Civic or something..
