Well, a few days have gone by since the Sagittarius Leader left the Panama Canal region, but nothing to report from my tracking. The Sagittarius Leader is presumably heading north towards the west coast of CA. I am keeping an eye on the west coast AIS, but nothing, yet. I think these ships keep to a pretty close schedule, so she will probably appear on the AIS tracking on June 6. Anybody have any updates on her?

The "Sagittarian" has actually been in the port of LA for almost the two weeks that I have been subscribed to AIS, so I know it is not the ship we are waiting for.
The port of Hueneme vessel arrivals still shows June 6 for the Sagittarius Leader, so I am sure, since it is this close, that arrival date won't change. I am tracking a Mercedes Benz due into the port of Los Angeles on June 6 on the Sagittarius Leader. I think it will go to LA first (probably very early in the a.m.), then port Hueneme. If you have AIS, keep watching. Anything is possible. . . |

I know this is a long shot, but has anyone on this thread happened to have ordered an arrival report for the port of LA for the Sagittarius Leader? The arrival report will tell the time that the ship is due into the port and would give everyone a better idea when she was due at Port Hueneme.
I know it is a long shot, just thought I would ask anyways. . . http://www.mxsocal.org/MXReports.aspx |

This is a longshot, but here is a webcam of the Long Beach coast. You can see ships moving along the shipping lanes to/from the port of Long Beach. The port of Long Beach is next door to the port of Los Angeles. They are attached to one another.
It looks foggy, so the web cam picture isn't great, but you can see ships on the move. http://cms.longbeach.gov/news/abcwebcam_page.htm |

I think that ABC webcam is down. Here's another one, but it is not great.

Here's a view of the Long Beach harbor. Is that her out there??
![]() Since the AIS maps are delayed up to one hour (but only seem to be about 30 minutes) she is closer to Los Angeles than what we are seeing on the AIS maps. |

The Sagittarius Leader is now on the AIS South West Overview map, presumably about to approach the port of Los Angeles. (The red box at the bottom of the map is the San Diego area; middle of the map is the San Francisco area; and the top of the map the Pacific Northwest.)
Last year when I tracked my car's ship, I subscribed to the arrival list for LA, so I knew exactly when it was due in the port. My car's ship went into the port of LA first, then on to the port of Hueneme, then down to the port of San Diego, in that order. I am guessing this ship will take the same path. I think they'll unload in LA this morning through this afternoon, sail to Hueneme later today and unload in Hueneme either tonight or tomorrow morning. It will then sail to San Diego tomorrow afternoon/night and unload in San Diego on Friday. The last I checked, it was due into San Diego on Friday. That is my guess for this process. AIS doesn't let you zoom into the ports in the LA area, so this is the best we will see. Everyone, enjoy your new cars! |

Someone on the "Ship Bellona" thread drove by the Sagittarius Leader as it was coming into the port of Long Beach (which is attached to the port of LA) a couple hours ago. So, she has docked and should be unloading by now. She is off of the AIS map, either because she has turned off her engines, or her signal is block by all the ships in port. I will post a map so you can see it.
