Well once the race maps come out, that demerit goes out the window. What's wrong with the tune otherwise?

Well I'll dyno soon. I just bought a jb3 I'm upgrading to jb4. I'll dyno both tunes on the same car on the same dyno on the same day and see what happens. I LOVE Cobb stage 2+ FBO. the car rips. Can't wait to try out the jb4 too. Meth is next after that.

I don't understand though. Unless you're talking about meth injection, then the piggy won't be any stronger...

On pump, Stage2+FMIC is probably the strongest and most consistent. On meth, it remains to be seen if they can get any more real-world power out of it.

Average? I'd say you'd be hitting around 12.8 or so with a trap of 114. That's not the best results by far... but more in line with the average I've seen people hit depending on mods

funny, thats almost exactly what I did when using the cobb to log the 1/4 mile. 12.9 at 114.5 with a 2.3 sec 60 ft. But that was on stage 2+ sport. I know its not a real timeslip but still cant be that far off.

Even with a bad driver, trap speeds will be consistent. When you post a link of clap trapping 118 (which is impressive), you are sending out the message that other cobb users will trap that much on their track which is simply not true. Here in Florida which is sea level as well, no cobb stage 2 has gone over 115mph and I doubt most will do it in less than ideal conditions.

How is that any different than Sikh posting his 122 mph run? It's hard to match his time but definitely doable. Or Hotrod. Should every fast run be disqualified because others may struggle to perform as well?
Florida is much more humid than the NE. And warmer too. I'm trapping in the high 116's but I know there's more in the car if I go back when it's colder. And my buddy has hit 117. We're gonna have a VBOX next time we go out to see how the track timer compares. |

When I post a link I'm not sending any message to anyone. It is up to the end user to interpret the data presented. In case you didnt know, track times and results of any race all depend on "conditions" and a majority of the time there is always something different between one guy and the next. As Brey mentioned above he is 1 MPH off in a heavier car in a different state. By no accident he has different conditions. Not only the state hes driving in, but his collection of mods, tires, suspension, and he has an E92 Vs a 135i. We also dont know his conditions on the track, DA, humidity, ambient temps, ETC. Do you know anyone in florida that has the exact same mods to the "T", with the same driver weight, tire, suspension, and driving capabilities? Was the DA the same? And the humidity? Ambient temperature? track prep? Mileage on the vehicle? Same amount of gas in the tank? I think I rest my case. The results are as typical as the next guy but conditions will alter the final results. |
