Lol... sounds like a good plan . Weather permitting, I should have the new firmware released Monday or Tuesday.

I feel compelled to add my 2c. There are a lot more folks tracking their N54 on road courses than commonly believed. It is just that we (I am one of those) are not likely to post our lap times, or brag about our mods!

Likely, we will discuss managing oil, water and air intake temperatures. Max boost is useless on road courses, and even if you are close to but not yet hitting limp mode, due to excess heat, power goes down as your session progresses.

Yep...there isn't much to say after a day at the track other than "the car ran well" or "it barely made it 3 laps before limping". Not much else to brag about since 99% of your time is spent working on ones driving skills, not your mph at the end of the straight. You just want a car that doesn't bring attention to itself and makes life easy for you. And once you know your car can run fine, full out, for 20min of a time, you can rest assured that no kind of street driving will ruffle its feathers.

Partial throttle performance is a huge selling point for me. I don't live my life a 1/4 mile at a time, there is still a lot that matters lol. After paying $55k for the car, I don't mind shelling out a little extra for a kit that is going to keep my car more versatile. If drag racing was my #1 priority, I would have probably gotten a different car.

+1 i appreciate the smoothness for DD, but i'm working on driver mod since i can't figure out traction on road course lol.
that being said, i think my push fitting isn't leaking yet. but i always try to avoid unhooking the hose since i heard those hoses are *1 push only*.

keyword "little", we're not even talking about a lot of money at all here. The extra money spent on this kit is totally worth it IMO.

I have a PPS kit and it feels exactly the same as a PWM kit that my friend has. I didn't really notice a difference between the setups. Both were smooth as butter on partial and full throttle. Only difference other than meth kit is he is MT and mine is AT. Both kits IMO give the same response and smoothness. I guess I am not sensitive enough to see or feel the difference. IMO both systems make the car FAST!!

If you measure the response time between a PPS kit and a pwm kit, you'll see how much faster a pwm kit is (0.3-0.5 compared to a few milliseconds). Especially noticeable in 6mt applications where meth turns off and then on between gears. The delay time in a PPS system is very noticeable when you run in map4 (progressive meth mode). You can see a "step" in boost level as meth starts to flow. With a pwm system, there is no such step. There are datalogs illustrating this posted somewhere on this forum comparing a PPS kit and a PWM kit on the same car. I'll find them on Monday when I get back to the office.

If thats the case maybe thats why I didnt feel such a noticeable difference as I have experience and seat time with meth on AT, which IMO is pretty smooth and it felt really smooth with MT with the PWM...I guess I have to track down someone local to me thats fully modded AT with Procede and a PWM kit to really see the difference, if there is in doubt any with AT.

I'll defend the PWM kit. The theory of progressively adding meth (treating it as a fuel) is moreso correct IMO than suddenly dumping it in and allowing the DME to account for it. I concur that PPS is a great solution for drag cars, but putting less amounts of surprises on the DME is a desirable thing, mainly for part throttle, which is what I do everyday on this DD car.

I actually just designed a fuelling system for a particular engine, and its the same principal as the Vishnu PWM. It's the correct approach IMO.

I think progressively injecting is a much better solution than just the basic kit of on/off , but PWM is the best at it for stft in terms of not "shocking" the dme
