it doesn't reflect much sunlight, since it's matte black, I like it

my blackout grills arrived on friday. am very impressed with the shipping. it was sent out the very same day i paid for it! packaging was also very well done - everything was individually wrapped and packed in a fitted box so nothing can be damaged.

it took me about 10 mins to swap out both grills. must be the easiest mod i've ever done.

the grills were very well made. no blemishes, scratches or other visible imperfections. from what i can tell, the quality of the material is just as good if not better than the oem ones on my car.

posted some pictures here... before and after. sorry for the poor quality. they were taken in my garage with my camera phone.

yea i had some spare window tint material leftover from tinting my house so i tried using it on the car. didnt work too well since the cars lights are not flat - lots of small bubbles. but i am leaving it on for the time being...

its 20% tint. if you want to do it, dont do it yourself, go to a professional tint store and get it done. it probably wont be too expensive since its only the headlights but they'll be able to do a much better job. the curve surface needs a lot of skills to do otherwise you'll end up having a lot of small bubbles like me. i had spare material so it didnt matter but if you want to look good go to a shop.
