So how does one address knock frequencies with E85?

If I remember correctly from the 4B11 world, it's not that E85 is immune to knock, but rather it's getting the knock sensors to accurately hear the knock that is the challenge.

What did you do to the fueling system to run straight E85? I personally am runnng a very small blend for about 11 months so far with absolutely nothing wrong in terms of HPFP and LPFP. Me personally, I would rather pump in some E85 than deal with meth *which isnt a big deal* to deal with but I dont know just alot of turbo cars such as the GTR's EVO's. hell even a 2011 Dodge Viper that was twin turbo'd and he even had this thing in his glove box that when after he filled up he could go pull his little scan tool is waht it look liked and it read the "real" ethanol content in his fuel tank at that very moment. At first it was 83 then about 5 min later it was 84....so I would say its a popular thing for all of us turbo guys. I only run 2.5 gallons of E85/93 octane and im FBO-meth but the car pulls like a freight train

I doubt Shiv will make any recommendations until he finishes testing e85 on his car. (or one of his multiple test mules haha)

I just found a station not too far from my house. It would be nice to get some bump my octane to 95-96 (got 93 pump here) cheaply with e85.

You can do that right now. I've used a 40/60 e85/93 mix on my 1M and it works great!

A full e85 map, if the fuel system can handle it, would produce race-gas like performance, and REALLY open up some possibilities for power with the right turbo system and hardware.

I started testing tonight with 30/70 e85/93 octane with great results. I can run 0 ignition correction on the top end. I settled with -1 beyond 6k, and below 3500 to keep it clean and with cushion. I left the fuel map alone for now, but changed the boost to 16-17psi flat, coming down at 6k to normal.

The fuel trims max out at ~6300rpms even with 100% OL fueling (which is the shift point for stock turbos anyway). I based these maps on the 4-12 maps. These are just a rough start (~1hr of road tuning).

As you can see (ignition and rpm wiggles), traction is a problem on the hwy even with LSD and 265's! A quick 3-4 shift causes momentary traction loss in 4th too.

When I ran meth on my old 335, the timing was nearly the same except it added timing over stock. I want to hit the Dyno again before I play around with leaning and adding timing more than it is already.

right on - I am doing some testing with my JB4 with the same mix.

Unfortunately I can't adjust any timing on the JB4.

For some weird reason, as soon as I get into 4th gear on this car is when the boost kicks up.
