Rarely use the indash cd. I wanted the Ipod interface but was too expensive. I'd rather get a new ipod or iphone for that kind of $$$.

They didn't add "scenic route" or "take fun roads" as a route preferences though..

The other thing I wanted was multiple POI icons on the map at the same time.

One more thing I just recalled -
In some of the menus, hitting menu acts like a back button, rather than always returning to the main screen. This is really nice, especially when you are a few layers in..

Josh, try doing a search by name in the nav. I tried to find a WalMart within 25, 50, ... all the way to 500mi before it could find one. Then it was in another state. Using the category menus, I found the one I was looking for, only about 10mi away. Others have also reported search by name problems. It would be nice if they fixed it in ver 26.

My result:
Yeah, I see what you're saying. You need to be in the right category to search for it. In order to search for taco bell, you must first go restaurants and entertainment, dining, all restaurants, etc, then search for taco bell. Since I didn't know exactly what category walmart was in, I first did searches. It came up under discount stores. It was spelled Wal-mart. So if you do your search under shopping, then discount stores and type Wal-mart, you should get the results you are looking for. It worked for me, all the nearby ones came up.. Kind of annoying, but it probably keeps things much faster this way. Instead of having to search the entire DVD for Taco Bell's near you, it can just search all entries under "All restaurants" that are near you.. So yeah, I guess the moral of the story is, if you don't know exactly which category to look in, just hit enter to see nearby places, verify it's in that category, and then go search for it.. Hope that answers your question..

On the search, keep in mind you don't need to enter the whole name. Entering "WAL" should pull up the Wal-marts.

Question, how long does it take? I think they're going to do that program upgrading stuff at my first service date... and if they have my car for more than 2 days I'm going to be quite bummed.

Cool. I plan to get mine upgraded soon when I take it in for my upcoming free oil change. I have a CD skipping issue, there's some SIB for it out there. So hopefully they agree to update it and it doesn't take days and days
