Sorry, but I've never seen a side by side that would indicate Dinan being the best for anything other then putting a race me I'm slow badge on your car and charging 2 to 3x more for parts.

I love threads like this Like Jeff said, it's all about the core design. A lot of the ebay style intercoolers have straight through internal fin packs. The hot air from the turbocharger passes right through the intercooler. We offer an offset and staggered fin pack which makes the air split multiple times before leaving the core. This results in lower intake temps, which allows you to run more timing and make more power

We also have 10 charge rows in a 5.5" area where most manufacturers only have 6-7 charge rows. The extra charge rows give us more heat transfer plates which is where most heat transfer takes place. This is very important on a car like the 135i/335i where the exposed surface area is minimal.
