Stupid CM 2.2 gal tank leaked out into my trunk last night, wife got in and about passed out. Been fighting a leak at the tank fitting for the last month, getting really frustrated with the leaks, considering pulling meth completely or I may give the Devil's own stuff a try with their 4AN fittings and a cheap 4qt tank.

Not tuned in that way but after a couple of hundred miles last weekend I opened my washer reservoir that was just water and it was steaming hot in the neck. I could only imagine if it had something flammable in there.

Some people use WW fluid in their meth injection instead of mixing meth/water because that is exactly what it is. |

Old thread revival.....lol
Has anyone considered that vapours from your WW fluid get carried into the passenger cabin anytime you wash your windshield? The smell is quite strong and I am certain you would be inhaling methanol vapour. So how come this is OK but a sealed meth tank in the trunk is somehow more toxic |

All the lines are custom stainless, the fittings are just -AN fittings. The tank is howerton engineering twin tank with -AN fitting upgrade with all lines under car.

Any vapor from cleaning the window is temporary, while a leaking meth tank in the cabin is a continuous source of vapor. Also, typical WW fluid is approx 20% to 50% meth, so you're not cleaning windows with full strength concentrations. |

I ended up taping the top of my tank cap with a 1/4" barbed fitting. Then tied it in with a one way valve back into the line for the exhaust flapper valve. its already run for you and under the car simple and easy fix!

i never had any meth smell insinde the cabin while i had my trunk mount kit and routing through the cabin.
But when i switched to BOV setup instead of DVs, there is always a meth odor when i start the car. I don't have the metal tray underneath the cabin air filter, so this might contribute to it, but still, i find it pretty strange. BOV will vent to air, but i don't push it to need meth (maybe 2-3 very short pulls a day...). i did not find any leaks or something. Last edited by Valentinp; 07-02-2015 at 06:14 AM.. |

If you open your windows or drive next to another vehicle you are exposed to toxic fumes. Best thing to do is just sit at home with your tin foil hat on.....but don't have your phone with you because then you will die from radiation
