So the smoke test showed nothing. The car feels great on the road and I did a couple of logs. The first one in 2nd-3rd and the second one is in 3rd only. No codes other than the 2AAF code.

Let me know if anything stands out to you guys. I see a nice boost spike

I'm done going back and forth with you about this editing and you obviously missing reading comprehension class. The editing was done to change the title to show that logs had been added.

Everything looks fine. It appears you just had a lot of heat soak on the dyno and perhaps there was a strong load on the dyno.

The boost spike is normal at the shift or on onset of boost sometimes.

Notice ignition is steadily climbing and intake air temps are below 120. Good stuff. Another reason dynos arent the end all be all but a good tool for comparison nonethless at times.

Thanks Jeff. So how do I get these guys to properly tune me on their dyno? Do you think it's a lack of air flow to my intake / intercooler?

Intake Air Temps were at 140 when the dyno run started and finished at 180 versus 105 to 115 on the street pull. This was after a 20 mile interstate drive too.

You should let the car cool down for about 30 minutes before you do a run, preferably with the fans cooling it. Did they have any fans at their dyno? It's hard to mimic real world load and wind on dynos sometimes. It's all about the equipment they use.

Ideally you want your intake temps to start at near ambient temps and have enough fans to mimic real world air for cooling. Since your in FL you may want to wait until September when it starts to cool down.

To be honest, I tuned to my last car in 100 degree heat with no dyno fans, but that is cause I was trying to tune conservatively as that vehicle was not equipped with an ECU smart enough to pull ignition timing so I tuned in pretty much the worst case scenario, 13 dyno pulls in a row, no fans, 100 degree heat. Needless to say she never knocked in the real world.

There was one large fan blowing on the front of the car and one small fan on the engine bay.

That seems fairly sufficient. Just let the car cool and hopefully pick a cooler day. Don't forget to do a baseline on stock tune, I would suggest doing the baseline last since you dont want to heat soak the car or do a baseline first and then let the car cool.

Have you tried dynoing in 3rd gear? It's not ideal since it's further away from 1:1, but the pull will take less time than a 4th gear pull on the Mustang dyno, giving the IATs less time to skyrocket. It may yield more accurate results and closer to real world conditions.

+1... heard the power difference between dynoing in 3rd compared to 4th is neglible.

but the shorter pull will definitely help IATS and keep things cooler

Not an expert by any means but I did both 3rd and 4th gear pulls. Only saw a difference of +3 Tq, -3 HP on the 4th gear pull. The 4th gear pull also took 14 seconds, 3rd gear 8 seconds. This was on a RWD Mustang Dyno.
