The 325i didn't have any lag because it was NA. kompressor = Merc's term for supercharger, ask me how I know. The mini is supercharged also so that won't have "lag" either. The e320 isn't even FI, so I don't see how it would have turbo lag? Please, do your research.

I will reply, because I never stated that you said that the cars had lag, I explained why you said they didn't have any turbo lag (BECAUSE THEY AREN'T TURBO'D). Lag, in this case, is short for turbo lag, you decided to bring up cars that aren't turbo'd. Hence my reply. You tried to compare apples to oranges.
You're very fucking welcome

Hey, everyone live and learn and I think aquaanox now knows the difference between the sc and turbo issue. I don't think any more flame towards that post is necessary.

[QUOTE=Div4our;1264206]I will reply,
You're very fucking welcome [/QUOTE lol.. you sound like a lil kid.. but who am i to judge.. anyway, a Kompressor is very similar to a turbocharger : it compresses air before it is sent to the cylinders. A turbo uses the exhaust system to power a turbine(s), while kompressors use a belt connected to the crankshaft. So this is not apples and oranges and in the end the produce the same effect. The Lag that i am concerend about anyway, is a delay in acceleration from when the gas pedal is pressed, and i have some cars that exhibit this and some that dont. No need to start calling people *retards* and use the f* word. If you want to contribute, please try to atleast show that you are educated and are capable of having a conversation like an adult. |

Just fyi, that lag you're speaking about is called throttle response.

thanks again.. i sit corrected : ) i didnt grow up in the states, so sometimes i dont know the correct terms for it all. Right, so the throttle response on my c230 kompressor sucked ass. My old e46 and current e92, and cooper S, do not have this problem; hoping that its not that bad on a 335 bi-turbo either since i might end up getting one for the wife in a few months.

It's pretty good for the 335. It feels alot like my e46 m3 with alot more torque. However, this was based on a test drive so I'll know more when my 335 gets here.

Usually when a you are going for an ECU reflash or other kinds of modifications in one of the "official" BMW tuners , one of the main things they "correct" is the throttle response (accelaration response once you push gas petal) .
Could this be also done from Shiv? As i noticed there was not such an adjustment/improvement on V1.47. Could this be an issue to be ficed on V2 ?? (Shiv ???)

However, sure, we can wait and wait and wait for Shiv to respond to this. Its not like he reads every thread let alone one where the title has nothing to do with PROcede in it.
