No, kompressor is just how mercedes dub it as supercharger or air compressor.

1) 2004 s600 v12 kompressor (np lag whatsoever)
2) 2004 e320 (some lag, but associated with the auto transmission i think)
3) 2005 mini cooper S (automatic, but cannot feel any lag at all.. i think thats the difference between the superchanger and the turbo, especially with the step paddle shifters, power is always right there)
4) 2005 c230 kompressor (getting sold simply bec of the amount of @@# turbo lag from a slow start on the street.. that car is simply horrible to drive).
5) Used to have a 2004 325i with absolutely smooth, no lag power.. hence the c230 is getting replaced by the new 3er coupe.
LOL. You sir, are retarded.
The 325i didn't have any lag because it was NA. kompressor = Merc's term for supercharger, ask me how I know. The mini is supercharged also so that won't have "lag" either. The e320 isn't even FI, so I don't see how it would have turbo lag? Please, do your research.

I think you need to re-read my post and also my other replies to people here, and get your head checked, or better reading glasses. I never said that my 325 had lag, or that the mini had any lag. I also admitted that my e320 feels like it has some lag, probably becuase of the slushbox automatic tranny. We have already discussed the kompressor issue and it has been put to rest. Do you like to insult fellow forum members ? No need to reply to this, and i would like to keep discussions relevant to the original topic.

thank you.

I will reply, because I never stated that you said that the cars had lag, I explained why you said they didn't have any turbo lag (BECAUSE THEY AREN'T TURBO'D). Lag, in this case, is short for turbo lag, you decided to bring up cars that aren't turbo'd. Hence my reply. You tried to compare apples to oranges.

You're very fucking welcome

Hey, everyone live and learn and I think aquaanox now knows the difference between the sc and turbo issue. I don't think any more flame towards that post is necessary.

[QUOTE=Div4our;1264206]I will reply,

lol.. you sound like a lil kid.. but who am i to judge.. anyway, a Kompressor is very similar to a turbocharger : it compresses air before it is sent to the cylinders.

A turbo uses the exhaust system to power a turbine(s), while kompressors use a belt connected to the crankshaft. So this is not apples and oranges and in the end the produce the same effect. The Lag that i am concerend about anyway, is a delay in acceleration from when the gas pedal is pressed, and i have some cars that exhibit this and some that dont. No need to start calling people *retards* and use the f* word. If you want to contribute, please try to atleast show that you are educated and are capable of having a conversation like an adult.

Just fyi, that lag you're speaking about is called throttle response.

thanks again.. i sit corrected : ) i didnt grow up in the states, so sometimes i dont know the correct terms for it all. Right, so the throttle response on my c230 kompressor sucked ass. My old e46 and current e92, and cooper S, do not have this problem; hoping that its not that bad on a 335 bi-turbo either since i might end up getting one for the wife in a few months.

It's pretty good for the 335. It feels alot like my e46 m3 with alot more torque. However, this was based on a test drive so I'll know more when my 335 gets here.

Usually when a you are going for an ECU reflash or other kinds of modifications in one of the "official" BMW tuners , one of the main things they "correct" is the throttle response (accelaration response once you push gas petal) .

Could this be also done from Shiv? As i noticed there was not such an adjustment/improvement on V1.47. Could this be an issue to be ficed on V2 ?? (Shiv ???)

I dont think theres any issue with throttle response or that it needs to be improved. You can do that easily with a new air filter even.

Sorry... but there definately is.

At least ...It could get better. But lets Shiv give us a reply on this.

You must have an automatic then because with the manual, theres no delay in throttle response. If thats the case, then you might need some programming directly related to the Auto gearbox.

However, sure, we can wait and wait and wait for Shiv to respond to this. Its not like he reads every thread let alone one where the title has nothing to do with PROcede in it.
