iono its just something important and i dont wanna screw it up... i mean how hard is the install on a scale of 1-10?

ive installed my own blacklines, trunk spoiler, front lip, n some other wiring stuff, but not too sure where an alarm install lies..

I'd say it's a 2, 3 at most.

Look here: Alarm install DIY

Everything's pre-wired for you. The hardest part is taking everything apart for the install.

No, E9x's don't come with factory alarms. They are prewired, you just have to install/activate it at a dealership to make it work.

Not sure if it will work on a euro-spec car though..

Evan or Jason,

I just had a sirius tuner installed in my car and asked the dealer to update my software so I could add the alarm at a later date. They said they updated my software for the Sirius and as a result it was updated for the alarm as well. Do you know if I installed the alarm now, would I still need to activate it or am I all set?

Got my alarm, thanks very much. I installed it in less than an hour, no problems. Question, I have a 2007 335i with Idrive. The system recognized the alarm after install and seems to works just fine. What is up with having the dealer "program" the system? It appears to work fine am I missing something? Thanks.

If this is true, I am picking up an alarm for my 08 from Tischer.

IIRC, you need the dealer program to activate the "chirp" feature for the siren.

10-4 sir, thank you. I wondered why I was not chirping. Clown nose is blinking just fine though. I still need to check out all of the other funtions, which I have not done yet. I assumed everything was just fine, do to clown nose.
