Thanks Pereze, I think we're getting warmer!

I've found that the carpet from Jo-Ann's fabric is extremely close. Only way to get it exact is to add some black to it. Either dye or just mist it lightly with spray.

Kidding of course. At least about the expectations, I do want to know what to ask for in the store or where to look. TIA

It's just felt. I found it kinda front left of the store. It's not exact but pretty close.

My new toy finally arrived after 3 weeks transit (the USPS is a POS). Can't wait to get it in!

I was just there, but did not have any time to stop by. I'll let you know next time for sure.
Just did a provisional install today, until I can find someone who can go to Jo Ann fabrics and buy that carpet for me!

Nice! I may end up going this route myself. I'll see what I can find for you. We should also make a better mount for you as well...lol

I haven't really spent any time with it yet. I will withhold judgement until this puppy is broken in!

Yeah it looks kind of amateurish right now... I was thinking just put some carpeting on it and call it a day. Not going for any beauty contests.

Today I was thinking that the "well-sealed trunks" in our cars that normally filter out much of the sound from in-trunk subwoofers, are actually a blessing in disguise for those of us who go with an IB set-up! If you think of the trunk as a large box, and there is a subwoofer on the inside, and you are on the outside, you won't hear much for obvious reasons, especially if the box is well-sealed, acoustically speaking! But if you install the sub into one of the sides of the box - the side that is facing you - it will be a night and day difference!!! That in a nutshell explains why IB works better than anything else!
BTW my sub is still being babied while it's breaking in. I have read that the break-in with this driver can take a little while... I have to admit that in order to speed up the process I find myself driving down the road listening to Sirius' hip hop station....

Has anyone done anything similar in the F30? The three way folding rear seats don't seem to work well with what was done here.

I remember when I first started with IB... Pair of 12's... I loved it! Now I have 2 18's in a ib setup. Forget break in, slam that thing and tell us how it sounds
18's 15's

doesn't have to be behind the seat. IB works great from the rear deck, provided there is space to mount them. what does your rear deck look like from inside the trunk? if it's fairly flat and there's no torsion bars, rear deck IB can sound just as good as rear seat IB.
