The newest jb FW update pretty much solves the issue of the auto learn error and shouldn't be a problem if you update.
No one factors in gas contains 10% ethanol already. You gotta figure if your doing a "so called" 50/50 or 60/40 93/e85 etc it's probably more e85 then you think and you might be maxing out your fuel limits. Obviously a flash can overcome this, but as far as piggyback is concerned try either less e85 or upgrade to the G5 board- cause yes less is more sometimes. I run 75/25-93/e85 sometimes and the car responds better. And the G5 board has better boost control and wider a/f reading ability so that's another valid option. Btw as stated by others of course e85 will vary per station, per season, per ground temp., etc. |

ok I'm new here... Jb4 and Dci 2008 335i E90..anyway just started running about 25/75 E85/93 mix. took my car to the dyno and on a mustang dyno with the jb4 turned off (map 0) I hit 271hp/298tq. map 5 302hp/369tq and finally map 2 326hp/375tq. map 7 was pulling harder but threw a CEL near the end of the pull.. probably running too lean with that mix I'd imagine. anyway what are your thoughts to these numbers. unfortunately I've never dyno'd on reg 93 without E85. but based on
the fairly high stock numbers, it's giving me gains I'm sure. Last edited by AK 335i; 09-20-2012 at 02:04 PM.. Reason: this is not with the newest map 5 update. haven't done that yet.. |

I did quite a few pulls in map 5 last night and today before the dyno. but it probably wasnt quite learned up. I'm not sure on the exact boost. I'll be keeping it in map 5 until the next time I hit the strip and continue running 25/75 E85/93 then do some passes in map 5 and 2 to compare quarter mile times and trap speeds. do you think the upgraded map 5 would yield better results ?
