No I'm not concerned about bubbling, because 9.5" is the recommended rim width for 275 NT01's. If they were on 8.5's... maybe.

Test fitted my NT01's this weekend and drove around on them for 10-15 minutes... the 255/40-17 fronts and 275/40-17 rears on 17x9.5 ET35 Apex Arc8's (5mm spacer in front) fit great. No rubbing on any fenders, fender liners, or anything else.

My car is lowered a little bit from stock, perhaps 3/4" - 1", with a lot of camber in the front and rear currently -2.75 degrees in the front and -2.2 degrees in the rear.

This a meaty fitment and looks great. Thanks to Apex for a great set of wheels that fit just like they should.

- 19" BBS CH 24.5 lbs
- 19" BBS style 313 29 lbs

I know it wont' matter as much. I do 95% street, daily driving and 5% tracking. I would consider OZ for some more weight saving if I could keep 19"

My APEX ARC-8's weigh 16.6 lbs. Tires are alot cheaper for 17's as well.

I am getting BBS RGR 18" now, squared, 8.5. 19 lb's each. I am currently on 18"s and I like this look.

The tire shop is telling me to get 225/40/18. Should I be worried with 225's on the back? I think I will go Barum by conti to save money or Mich PSS.

Should I find tires that are 235/40/18 squared?

You can easily fit 245/35s on those. The rears are an easy fit and you may want spacers to get the wheels further out if the offset is 30 or higher. The fronts would require a little negative camber and proper offset, about 30-35.

Not if you're buying them as snow tires...

You should be planning for 245s or 255s for a square setup, larger for staggered rears for track driving.

APEX makes an 18X8.5" wheel for the E9X. If you want track wheels go square and as wide as possible. Camber is probably the single best handling upgrade you could do and besides wheels, would be my first.

Not sure if this is the case, but tire wear on the inside has a lot to do with the toe than and with adjustable camber plates you can easily (5 minutes) adjust them for street use after a track day.

Replying to an old post here, but +1 on the camber/toe comments & wheel size.

There is no reason to fear that "lots" of camber is going to wear your tires more quickly. Depending on the car/driver you can get MORE life out of your tires with a generous amount of camber than you get with none.

Lots of toe, on the other hand, eats tire tread for breakfast and craps out treadless tire carcass around lunch time.

My experience isn't based on an e9X, so someone correct me if I am wrong here, but for a mostly streat setup I'll bet you are going to want ~2 degrees of camber in front and ~1.5 in the back, with toe set at factory spec. As has been demonstrated the camber in the front will also allow a 17x9.5" wheel, along with 255 rubber. I'll hazard a guess that the wider 255 rubber with the required camber will last longer than the narrower rubber with no camber.

As far as wheel diameter goes I prefer the look of a tire to the look of a rubber band, (I know that is just me ) and as stated above 99.9% of us who are trolling the internet for advice won't see a performance increase from a shorter sidewall, and that becomes even more true when you add a good performance tire with a stiff sidewall into the equation.

it's not the most 'stylin' setup out there, but it sure handles a lot better. Killed the understeer and rides a ton nicer with about 25% less unspring weight.

I think you mean rotational mass, there is a lot more to unsprung weight than just wheels and tires...
