Test fitted my NT01's this weekend and drove around on them for 10-15 minutes... the 255/40-17 fronts and 275/40-17 rears on 17x9.5 ET35 Apex Arc8's (5mm spacer in front) fit great. No rubbing on any fenders, fender liners, or anything else.
My car is lowered a little bit from stock, perhaps 3/4" - 1", with a lot of camber in the front and rear currently -2.75 degrees in the front and -2.2 degrees in the rear. This a meaty fitment and looks great. Thanks to Apex for a great set of wheels that fit just like they should. |

These are what i'm looking at
- 19" BBS CH 24.5 lbs - 19" BBS style 313 29 lbs I know it wont' matter as much. I do 95% street, daily driving and 5% tracking. I would consider OZ for some more weight saving if I could keep 19"

My APEX ARC-8's weigh 16.6 lbs. Tires are alot cheaper for 17's as well.

Should I be worried with 225's on the back? I think I will go Barum by conti to save money or Mich PSS. There is no reason to fear that "lots" of camber is going to wear your tires more quickly. Depending on the car/driver you can get MORE life out of your tires with a generous amount of camber than you get with none. Lots of toe, on the other hand, eats tire tread for breakfast and craps out treadless tire carcass around lunch time. My experience isn't based on an e9X, so someone correct me if I am wrong here, but for a mostly streat setup I'll bet you are going to want ~2 degrees of camber in front and ~1.5 in the back, with toe set at factory spec. As has been demonstrated the camber in the front will also allow a 17x9.5" wheel, along with 255 rubber. I'll hazard a guess that the wider 255 rubber with the required camber will last longer than the narrower rubber with no camber. As far as wheel diameter goes I prefer the look of a tire to the look of a rubber band, (I know that is just me ![]() |
