Can also vouch for the quality of Varrstöen wheels, I've owned about 4 sets and haven't had any problems whatsoever. Only people that seem to break them are complete morons and people that like to park their cars up trees and lampposts. And in PR roads are amazingly shitty. Volks, CCWs, HREs... choose your flavor, will also have a hard time standing up to complete morons as well. Expensive doesn't equal bulletproof by any means. Spending relatively low $ on wheels is great, I've never actually broken, bent or curbed a wheel yet but the day it happens I guess I won't feel that bad about it. I can also change wheels around every 5 months which keeps things interesting. |

heh, so funny how retarded people get defending absurdly expensive or super cheap rims. My co-worker has a set of real deal 5k a set BBS wheels for his Audi S4, and he's selling them because he's bent the shit out of them so many times that he's over fixing them. He's running some cheap ass reps right now and he told me in 2 years he's not bent them once compared to the BBS which have been repaired 5 times in the same amount of time.
This is in L.A. too where we have pretty decent roads. He apparently isn't buying the 3 piece + costs more = better quality argument. They might be lighter and better on a track day car, but for him not for a daily driver. And really who cares, if they look good and don't fall off the car who really gives a fuck. If you can afford 5k rims that's great, ya they look dope awesome! and if you can't so what your rims probably look dope too. Humor to see grown ass men act like bitches fronting with their LV or Coach purses.

Rep or not, they are ugly wheels that only look good on old 911's imo.

Just so expensive. But people are willing to pay so that's where the price point is set.

Every rim can bend or crack 5k or 500 dollars. We can all agree that most rims bought look better then stocks. IMO i dont see the need to buy 3-5 thousand dollar rims. thats just my opinion. of course most reps are not designed for track use, and most rims are suitable for street use. I dont see how a wheel can bend or crack without hitting a pothole. you can be a shitty driver with expensive rims and crack/bend them or be a cautious driver with cheap rims and have them run forever. most people hate reps hate them because they want to boost their own self confidence. They know deep inside that cheap rims are perfectly fine, just have to be a bit more careful. though there is a thin line between driving safe and saving money. there are rims out there that are out to kill you. just not all of them. |

I think the real issue in the rep scene is people fronting like their legit. If you cant afford or dont see the need in spending 3-5k on rims alone, theres nothing wrong with that. But dont throw a bbs cap on them and try to pass them off as baller wheels. And I can guarantee people will be throwing ccw caps on these. I think we all laugh at someone putting m3 badges on a 328. So whats the difference.
Shit, I have alufelgen's that cost like 1k shipped hahaha. But they look damn good.

CCWs are lighter and stronger in 18x11" than almost everyone else's 18x9.5" wheels on this forum. I've been daily driving on CCWs in NJ/NYC/NH/DC and have hit my share of gnarly potholes without issues.
