One can certainly hook up a button to induce the map switch. But the problem with that is routing the wires to the cabin. And finding a nice (not silly-looking) button. If someone can find an appropriate solution to this, I will be happy to implement it.

Well, technically you could do that, couldn't you? Couldn't you achieve this by limiting the 1000rpm and 1,500rpm range values to say 50%-70%?

Routing it to the glove box would be good enough, just pop the glove box open flick the switch and get full power.

But then i have another question, lets say i start the car with the V2 off (IE i dont rev the engine within the 2 second period to the desired revs). Then i decide to flick the switch, will the PROcede still work?

+1

If someone does not want the full power all the time, there is the option to use part throttle.

When I met my wife, she was driving a 240hp 3.0 liter V12 Italian car.

A week ago, I bought her a 500hp twin-turbo 4WD German SUV.

How am I gonna explain to her that she needs to rev up a cold engine (yuck!) in order to get decent performance from my Bimmer?

1400 vs. 1800 rpm is hardly a "rev up". And besides, you can SET what RPM you want.

hey shiv,

from what i understand, when users were first installing the procede, they had to wait a day or so until the ECU "adjusts" to achieve full power.

so with this switched valet/stock to full power map feature, will the ECU need time to adjust again? or will it instantly make full power?

it would be nice to be able to instantly switch back and forth from stock to full power maps to remind drivers what the car used to feel like.

Is there a dyno somewhere? A/F on the dyno would be nice too.

Shiv...A few more questions if you get a chance to answer

1) Is there a setting to have V2 "on" every time you start your car without bliping the throttle? (ie...setting the valet rpm to say...1000?) I'm not letting anyone (other than me) ever drive my car....even a valet and especially not my wife considering she can't drive a stick. I'll take the bus before I let someone else drive.

2) Understanding that you run 100% across the board on your test car...is the initial setup that comes with V2 an optimal balance between added power and ancillary part longevity?

In other words...if I leave it with what you load it with, what am I looking at in regards to HP and TQ increase over V1.47.

I think you are doing great work...keep it up.

1. This has been answered in detail by Shiv in his first post of this thread...it can be user defined; if you want the PROcede v2.0 ON upon start-up, just set this RPM value to 0...that's it...done, your PROcede will be On by default upon start-up.

2. This was also answered already by Shiv; he said that they will have the v2.0 default settings already in place and ppl can change the values at various RPM waypoints via the new PROcede computer software only if they want to.

BTW -- Shiv...phenomenal job w/ v2.0 and thanks for putting the user-controllable features in there!

Thank you Vishnu for all the hard work once again... I cant wait to get the V2 already!! Getting the Spearco FMIC installed this weekend!!! I want to see my dyno results with my catless DP's, exhaust, V2, and the FMIC... Should be some good numbers, im pretty sure i will break the 400WHP barrier... Wonder where the WTQ will be though... then its off to the 1/4 mile raceway

DTC Switch???

Actually, what I would like to see is when I press the traction control switch, the system is FULL on I always activate level one of the traction control anyway when I want to play.

i agree.....then again i have 2 335i to drive around in everyday, one with PROcede and one without, so i never forget.
