Is this part number for the TOP-HIFI-SYSTEM

Btw, so if I understand it good.. The AMP will give 40 watt to each side making a total of 80 watts.

And the original HU gives about 15 watt or am I wrong with that..

And my very last question; when the new boxes are installed, can we turn them up high immediately?

Sorry about necro-posting, but this thread is one of the three or four most informative I have found about retrofitting the Alpine kit.

I am curious as to what happens to the rear door midranges once the HU is recoded to Hifi and eq is flattened and output lowered.

Can they still be powered by the HU? Makkan, you mention upgrading to hifi midranges (assuming that for an E90 that would be 65139143147) - does that compensate for the lower power?

Rears are low line speakers as well.
You can keep them stock as from experimenting further, upgrading them hardly make any difference.

Those who like neutral sound, hi-fi coding is must.

Those who like highly equalised sound would benefit from standard HU output.

HTH.

This is great info! I think I am going this way as I don't want to modify too much and being able to put it back to stock is appealing.

Is there a list of the parts used, part numbers, where to get, etc? I know the info is out there but having it listed here would help many (and selfishly me) when reading this thread.
