Ya, its not enough bang for the buck for the nonturbo 3's. But it would still be nice to have intake, exhaust, throttlebody, and that chip on the nonturbos. Sure you cant get a 50+ horsepower gain out of the nonturbos, but a strong 15-25hp gain would be nice. Im just lucky that im getting all of the dinan stuff for free on my 325. Being a college student i would never have the extra 4grand for the stuff im getting for free.

Holy crap, is that the Dinan exhaust or a Pontiac's??

Pipe inside the pipe.

That's like the exhaust pipe tip some Essay Homeboy bought at the PepBoys and put on his 1985 Honda Civic.

I hate how you can see an inner tip inside the outer tip.

What the hell were they thinking? It looks like a very poor design.

It would have to sound like an F1 car for me to even think about forgiving the looks of it. That just looks ridiculously cheap to me.

The design is so when you touch the exhaust pipe, your skin won't burn.

That's their excuse for making an ugly small little exhaust pipe, so their quick fix was to put a PepBoy's looking larger cover over it.

Who the hell touches their exhaust pipe when it's hot anyway? Lame excuse on Dinan's part.

For $2000 it should be a polished or chromed tip with nice smooth rounded edges. Dinan cheaped out on the design, manufacturing, and looks, but still charges you a boat load for it.

I was not aware that was a "problem". I've never had a problem with burning myself on the exhaust tip in the past. Anybody here have?

Sounds like BS. Even if that was the reasoning there is not reason it couldn't be rolled at the tip to at least make it look finished and not like someone just cut a piece of pipe with a chop saw and stock it over the crappy small exhaust tip.

Try touching the Mercedes E/CLS/S/SL/CL55 tail pipes after you shut down the engine from a spirited drive. It'll burn the living crap out of you. It happened to my niece.....

Put your finger on the brake rotor after a drive. It burns you too but, no one has taken the initiative to solve this "problem".

I know exhausts get hot. The tip on my Evo would burn you if you touched it too. As would most cars. I just have never seen anyone reach down and touch one.

Regardless of function it looks like crap.

After a hard run and someone leans on the rear of the car they will get burned, won't happen with the wheel or lower the chance with double piping. I do think their are better looking ones out there, but in person they look pretty good....IMHO

Has never happened to me or anyone I know in 30 years of being around cars. I've burned myself on the exhaust underneath the car working on it before but, I've never burned myself on the tips.

Like I said I understand why, I just wasn't aware of it being THAT much of a problem to make your exhaust look like ass in the name of "safety" when OEM's don't even bother with it is all.
