there's like a rainbow's worth of colors on your car... I think flashy, eye-catching colors are over the edge for stock calipers... but something subtle like silver, dark silver, or black look much better than stock.

They cost like $39 for the painting kit from tirerack. No it wont void your brake warranty, how could it? Ive been in for the brake sensor warning 3 times and never once did they question my painted calipers. The paint is supposed to be heat and fade resistant. I have the same paint on my M3 and its 10 yrs old. Its still on there!

i mean, i really can't say anything other than... that... it's f'ing PERFECT... those wheels, those brakes, that color = sex. You just need to get Euro's and you'll be finished. but damn, i was staring into those rims for like a minute straight!! |

I vote black for the stock claipers, but red for the 6 and 4 piston calipers.
I really like the red look when it's a solid caliper. The red on the stock calipers seems to look broken up since there are spaces here and there. Here's my red calipers: FRONT REAR

You can't go wrong with that especially when the brembos are 6k for the front and rear. I installed them myself so I didn't have to pay for the installation. ![]()

If you're gonna paint them, paint them a flat or satin black. Red doesn't look right on the OEM calipers in my opinion. I do agree that the stock calipers could use paint, they tend to look really dirty and grimy after a while.
