Yea, even down here the AC doesn't feel quite as good on those special 105+ days. But it's a wet heat!
When I lived in Vegas I did appreciate the dryness quite a bit during the early parts of the summer, and the fact that when you sweat it actually cools you off. But when it's 115-120 out, I don't care what kind of heat it is, it's goddamn stifling. Only place I've ever lived that jumping in the pool in the summer was like jumping into a lukewarm bath. I went and put some E85 in the car last night and made a few 4th gear runs to get the auto-learn going. Temp outside was about 85 and IAT's with the temp hijack on the oil side were at about 120 degrees. It was Vegas-hot in my engine compartment. lol |
