If you send me the ROM once you install the OpenFlash Tablet, I can provide you with an OTS map within a day or two. It's not hard for me to do that. What takes more time is writing the a whole XDF file for those who want to custom tune themselves.

It will work without a problem. See my response to Transport3r above

That's great news. Are you guys planning to fully support the older versions or just the newest versions of each model?

All versions. But for the sake of my sanity I'm only releasing XDF files for IJEOS and I8AOS at launch since this covers 99% of people.

I was going to get the Jb4 G5 iso, but now im looking at this tablet first. I want to run meth eventually, but not in a hurry yet so ill wait on the jb4. This will be a good start then ill add the piggy back later if JB4 jumps in on it. If not i guess its proceed.

Question, I see that your located in the Bay, are you shipping it monday because you expect them to arrive monday or will you be getting them in on Friday? I want one and would like to drive to your shop and get it. Friday or Saturday would be Sweet if you happen to get them then.

Shiv,
What has been your experience with 8k redlines? Does the n54 valvetrain handle it?

Is that even worth it airflow wise? I'm sure on stock snails it's not..

Honestly if your taking the rpms up that high in order to maximize the flow and reduce the heat you would want to upgrade your cams.

Whats weird though is that ive yet to see any cams for our cars... Its like companies dont want to invest into bmw like they do Ford, Chevy ect... I wonder why. Ported heads and cams would make those stock turbos free up some heat and build alot more N/A power.

I'd rather spend 3k on some cams/ported heads than RB turbos. The sound of cams is utterly sexy.

This was my mustang, but i sold it to save for a 2010+ gt500. This video is a little old, i forgot to update it when i upgraded my supercharger to a T-trim and max boosted it to 600hp. I miss the sound of that car for sure! I wish i could break cams to the bmw. Btw, the compression ratio was only 8:5:1. You can even see the custom CRX intercooler lol.

So far looking at all the upgraded turbo dyno graphs (single or twin) . There hasn't been a hint of airflow choking do to the head or valvetrains ability to flow. Bmw is known for their higher redlines but we have yet to see that on a force induction engine. So as a manufacture they have vast knowledge of airflow at higher rpms which Im sure they implement as common practice. Fuel is a different story.

Thats good to hear. I've never owned a bmw till I bought my 335i so im still learning alot about these cars. I'm sure cams and ported heads would still increase the power overall on the turbo cars. It just seems to me that with the current heads, cams they might not max out till 600hp or so. Are there any 335i bmw's running over 800+hp?? I could see analyzing those more to see if ported heads, or cams would help. Then again without manufactures making them its hard to say.

There has been talk of Renntech developing cams for our platform, not entirely sure but I believe BuraQ is running the test model on his DCT.

Really... anyone have any info on this? I'd love to hear some sound clips on them as well as checkout the stats.

I can see the install being a pita though. If someone was to install cams they might as well get the heads ported since the labor to remove the head would be minimal since your already tearing it down lol.

I haven't tested that high yet. I've gone up to 7500rpm with the 6466 and it's held together. Still made peak power at 7200rpm though so I'm not sure if it's worth the risk with the stock head.

As in power dropped off after 7200? This may be territory for ported heads.

I wouldn't think that quiet yet. If your peaking at 7200 that means you have some head room. Normally you'd see the trend start a little earlier almost like the turbos are running out of steam but it's really the heads ability to flow. If you keep raising boost and not making more power at the higher rpms that's a dead give away

I thought I read somewhere that the table will only work with cars that have had their software updated in the last year and a half...
I have a 2007 335I that is bone stock and I have no idea what version of software is on there. Would I have to bring it in the have the software updated in order to use OpenFlash?

Thanks!

Would be curious to know hp delta between FBO + e35 + meth jb4 and same w/ LPFP-equipped e100 + flash?

Also less carbon build-up I assume.
