I'm tempted as well especially if they offer different final drive ratios. Even 3.38 or 3.46 LSD (I believe mine is 3.15)

This may have been covered in a post that I missed, but how do you know if you have a welded diff or not? Are they only on certain years?

Mine is a '11 MT 335i.

Its a large, welded unit which is the same as most but the final drive is different which is what they need to engineer I guess.
