No and yes. No data available as I know of b/c you would need a MAF to measure the difference. Parametrically you can see the difference in WGDC reductions and suddenly occuring overshoots in boost that werent there before the intake. I built a custom Mr 5 style CAI much like others posted on the board. Before that I was running a drop in Pro S and all my data suggests the turbos were choking a bit on the top end. After the intake I had overshoots around 4k+ and my wgdc values were decreases. I didnt dyno the after install but suspect a small gain in the upper end of the curve.

Shiv, when you say on the site:

"Add Up To 20HP With Improved Drivability"

Why are there no details about that?

How come you don't have any dynos / charts for HP and torque for any of the platforms?

PS it seems to be a standard message by the way, not for each specific platform, which I'm guessing is an error? Even the Porsche page says that.

The turbos are not making psi of boost, they are flowing a mass of air over a rate of time. The restriction of the engine being a "closed" system downstream from the turbo is what makes psi of boost. If this doesn't make sense to you, read read and read some more before you do any performance upgrades to your car. These cars are very fickle.

Any chance of getting the LP and rail fuel pressure converted to psi instead of hPa? Not hard to convert but easier to read when driving.

Will there be a channel for water temp?

Correction it zeros fuel gauge but only stutters to 1-2psi then back to zero when actual boost is say 6 psi... so no boost gauge is not working properly.

Also transmission adaption reset does not worked, sits awhile then says failed.

Just tried running the real time data display tonight to pull logs on Stg 0 but no dice. Kept throwing an error saying "not available at this time" or something along those lines. Unplugged the unit thinking it was a fluke and plugged it back in, same problem. My OFT still has a datalog from the 328 on its memory (despite the fact that I erased everything prior to switching to template 6. go figure.) so I don't know if that has something to do with it. I just plugged in the OFT to my laptop and ran the manager to see if I'm missing an update. Nothing missing there. Don't really know what else to do aside from reinstalling template 6 or starting from scratch.

same problem for me.
Then I downloaded the open flash manager 1.06 again from the homepage and after erasing and installing it new, it worked!
Maybe they updated the program to be able to handle the new channels, but forgot to give it a new version number.

I'm not sure if it helps you, but I had to reconfigure the data logging channels first and save them once. Afterwards the real time display worked for me!

Worked for me after this, thanks! Problem now is every time I try to read the datalog with openflash manager it reads and then goes into "not responding" mode. Guess its time to reinstall the manager software.

EDIT: Reinstalled. Works like a charm now.

Confirmed, thanks so much!
Indeed, the software engineers probably forgot to initialize the default value for these channel variables, a classic bug in software
In fact, for everyone else, you do not need to actually change the channels, just go in the configure channels menu, and press the right arrows to validate the current channels, that is all it takes.

As we are making progress from the user community, who else has the in dash boost gauge no longer working, can you check?

Ok, reinstalling the download manager allowed me to retrieve logs however.

1) transmission adaption reset does NOT work
2) boost gauge "enables" but just blips as I drive, so it doesn't really work

In dash boost gauge does not work for me on newest firmware. When I select it, and go through the prompts, I'm still left with my fuel gauge. My build date is 9/09.

It all worked, you just need to know the rules of the engagement

Rule #1 - In order to get the the real time data display to work, you must first go to the data channel configuration to validate the current channels (only needed the first time)

Rule #2 - In order to get the in-dash boost gauge to work, you must follow that setup by going to the real time data display (only at that point the OFT will send that in-dash boost gauge command to the DME)

If you follow carefully these rules, all will work well.

I think these inconveniences can be easily resolved in future versions:
Rule 1 - developers just need to initialize the variables properly
Rule 2 - developers just need to manually send the command to the DME

In meanwhile, I love the new enhanced data logging, thanks

Didn't work for me. OFT Manager is stuck in "not responding".

Shiv,
Any comments on how to get my data logs off the OFT? Feature has functional for 6 months now it seems to be corrupted.

Uninstall the manager, reinstall but make sure to run the installer as administrator. That's what finally did it for me.

Tried it again and no dice. I am going to go pull another data log and see if the file is corrupted.

Shiv,
I am having some problems with the new data log features. Tgt boost and actual boost are reversed and when I read my logs with the Vishnu Analysis Tool, the graph shows a 10 psi offset between actual and tgt even thought the numbers on the left of the screen show .xx psi difference between the two. Any chance you guys can get this fix soon?

Hi guys,
New Firmware version 1.23 is now available. If your OFT is running an older version, just connect it to you laptop and run OpenFlash Manager with a WIFI connection. Once updated, your OFT will say Fw Vers: 123 on the screen when connected to laptop.

Also, we just posted a new Template file on the website (http://www.procedetuning.com/BMW/n54...s-3/index.html). Please load it in your OFT. You absolutely must have this loaded into your OFT for the new firmware to function properly. If not, you will definitely me missing some functions.

If data logging still does't work after you load this template file AND update firmware, please let me know. Also, Boost Target and Boost Actual are no longer swapped

Cheers
Shiv

Primarily multi-car support. Meaning that when the device is unmarried, it will now give you the option of being installable with 325, 328, 330, FRS/BRZ and Mazda MX5 (NC).
