First of all is wrapping the aluminium hex trim.

First of all tried a black gloss but the pattern came through to much and it was to shiny.

Then i chose this 4d carbon fibre vinyl, much happier with this. Really nice finish.

All was going well until i reached the front and rear centre console. How do you remove the chrome tab? I can see the locators, but how do you remove and more importantly apply it again once wrapped.

Next up is new wheel badges, new wheel centres, leather conditioning and full exterior valet and detail to tidy up some minor scratches from a friend of mine who is a detail nut and is a tester for auto finesse on detail world.

Thanks for any help, looking forward to seeing the finished results.

Andy
The chrome tab has 3 pins held in with glue, if you remove as much of it as you can from the underside, it pulls out easily. Fitting it back, pierce the vinyl where the pins go and push through, then a little glue to hold in place, simple

Cheers for that. How's best to do it? Heat? Brute force with a screwdriver? Cheers. Andy

I just scratched off as much from underside, then pushed the pins from the back so not to damage or bend the tap on top

Thanks, all done...iv done a bit of wrapping on all my previous cars but some of the shapes on these trims are the most difficult i have done.

Just a few more pieces and more vinyl to order now after making a mess of my first attempt tonight and trimming about 2mm to much!

Best go and apologise to my girlfriend!

Hi all, just getting onto the front centre console and again struggling to remove the lid from the ashtray. I have removed the ashtray I just can't see how you access the tabs to remove the lid. Any help much appreciated as my car is now in bits!

A few updates, fitted my H8 CREEs, looks brilliant at night, the inner ring is really bright and fades in and out beautfully, the outerring could be brighter during the day. I dont get why the standard yellow light from the bulbs travels to the outering fine but aftermarket white LED do not.

I have also added the same to the interior, really happy with this, best 20quid i have spent on the interior, adds much more consistency and really modernises it and particualry suits my lighter interior at night.

As you can see, i am still in the process of deciding whether i like the carbon fibre vinyl wrap, opinions welcome.

And finally today had a huge detailing session and gave the car its best clean its had in my 7 months of ownership. My mate should go pro, machine polish, waxed and sealed. Really happy with it, looks like new, got rid of lots of hairline scratches that it has accumilated.

Also just looking at winter tyres, has anybody had any experiences with these? Im not after anything special and if anything think steelies would look awesome for a few months.
