I ordered them from fishcake. I saw the other ones also but couldn't find any info so I just went with what others have ordered. If they're the same then I screwed up but didn't want to take a chance. |

For almost half the cost I might take the chance, cause even if the angel eyes are crap in the rlinesport I think I could buy new halos and it would still end up being about the same cost as fishcake321's in the end. Thoughts anyone? |

I am not sure, but I think you can. The way I am looking at it is BMW put the halos in the later model headlights from the factory, and it is like any other bulb that will burn out eventually so I dont see why they would put them in if you cant change them. I assume DEPO would do the same thing. This is basically the only thing holding me back on buying them.

The rings are in the headlight and the headlights are sealed. So you cannot easily open them and change them. But the bulbs are outside, so you can change the bulbs easily.

Any night pics of the light spread on the road (and if you do what wattage/temp HID)? I've had Depo projectors on our Benz SUV and on my previous E36, and for some reason the light spread wasn't anywhere near OEM. It was obviously brighter due to HID upgrade, but the spread wasn't solid or even, it looked patchy in certain areas.

Hi,
I got the Depo V2 from fishcake also for my 08 pre-lci 328i. I somehow got error messages on and off from time to time and wonder why. It seems to me it's related to the yellow headlamp in the middle of the rings. One side of the yellow headlamp light is brighter/higher than the other. I wonder if I could replace the yellow headlamp myself? or if anyone has done it? Other than this issue I'm pretty happy with this depo Thanks! |

It was finally warm enough outside to install these Depo headlights on my Tiag 323i
I'll post pics later as there's going to be a downpour shortly Had to drill a hole in the back of the headlight access cover so that I could wire hid's. Also noticed that the drl lights show up as well with the ae's. Update: drove this morning in the rain and they both fogged up On top of that the passenger hid stopped working and threw a code. The middle pic in the top row is with hid's. The left bottom row is with halogen bulbs and the bottom right is the stock halogen headlights. |

My car already has angel eyes. So if the headlights don't have those sockets, the cables that power my angel eyes will just hang free. |

So my issue is related to the inner bulb (high beams I believe) when i look at the headlights from short distance, both sides seem to work perfect. When I go further and look at them, one side (the inner yellow bulb) will be brighter than the other one. This makes me think the issue is related to the lens instead of the bulbs itself. But I'm not sure how to fix it as everything is prewired and sealed. I got the error message "frm2 footwell module 2" which I think should be because of this issue. 2008 328i Anyone can shed some lights here? |

If you have xeon headlamps. You don't need to purchase the DEPO because that's the whole housing and because it's halogen. You can buy converters to fix new angel eyes in your xeon headlamps. That's my understanding....

So I spent a few hours yesterday looking deeper into this....
I think the issue is not related to the brightness. The two projectors (angel eyes) have the same brightness. And the two inner bulbs have the same brightness too. The issue is that the inner parts are not tightly sealed in the assembly and so it's movable. I have included a video which would explain the issue clearer. https://vid.me/l8T9 So I took my car to an auto repair shop who installed the headlights for me. They ran the error code and I'm getting "frm2 footwell module 2". They said this is related to headlights. The issue is not really with the bulbs but that for the passenger's headlights, the inner parts are not tightly sealed in the assembly and so it's movable. I have included a video which would explain the issue clearer. https://vid.me/l8T9 So the two headlights are not projecting on the same level. from a short distance, the lamps seem fine. But when I stand further away, I will see the inner bulb on the driver's side is a lot brighter than the other. I have switched the two inner bulbs myself just today and the issue remains. |

Yes, emailed fishcake..will see what he says
I'm still not sure whether that's causing the error message "frm2 footwell module 2" though. As I don't have any lights out or so... but well I guess the car is smart enough to detect something is off there |
