The Z06 might be the best supercar value in high-performance automotive history: 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, 11.7-second quarter mile, 200-mph top speed, and 1.04 g constant lateral grip, according to Chevrolet. These numbers surpass those generated by European sports cars that cost twice as much as the Z06 during clearance sales, and all but a handful of low-volume, $500,000-plus specials built in small workshops around the world. And here's the real stunner: The Z06 does all that with nothing more than a slightly stiff ride on really bad roads when driven around town. There's nothing finicky in this monster. Yet, with impressive EPA mileage numbers of 15 mpg city and 24 highway, the Z06 doesn't even get a Gas Guzzler Tax. MSRP: $73,220 compared to the 911, you can get this the Z06 and a 335i and modify both of them. |

lets not make this a 997 turbo vs z06 debate please. i get enough of those on 6speed and rennlist. bottom line is a porsche is a porsche, and a chevy is a chevy. you pay what you pay for. sure the z06 is cheaper and faster, but i mean come on do i really need to go on? i hope carnage doesnt read this or i will get e-killed. however, that new corvette coming out (i've heard several names, dont know what is official) will be in a whole different league. |

The Vette doesn't put you back in your seat like the turbo does at max. boost. However, it pulls for MUCH longer. |

His comment was, "If the 335i had anywhere near 75% power of the 997TT, it would be a no brainer." ![]() |

after seeing all these videos, really makes picking the 335i over the c6 vette for my next car so much simpler. it hung in there far better than i imagined. my friend told me he raced a 997tt with his mustang+125shot and the 997tt walked him pretty much off the start.

![]() On topic, Sherwins' runs with the 997TT were very impressive, 335I's are impressive NO DOUBT, but I think it put to rest, at least for the moment lol, that a V2 with all the bolt ons is not faster than a 997TT up to 125, however results can always vary.
