Actually it did in my case also since I use Fire Fox, so I tried I.E. and it worked fine... So either Link or FireFox sucked balls....

Haha only if. That would be amazing. I've only been 'around' for ~1.5 years...but have learned enough about the history to have some strong convictions.

I'd love to see some of the 'oblivious' people's reactions if they learned the entire truth and history.

Some of us "sucker's" will give Terry opportunity to address & fix those gaps with G4. Luckily winter is coming so it's MAP 0 for me until next spring.

P.S. at the time when some of us "suckers" made a decision to go with JB3 (1.5 years ago) your tune if I recall correctly V2 had a lot of similar gaps (i.e. knock control CPS offsetting and etc.), however you've certainly made faster strides forward both technically and functionally vs BMS

G4 doesn't adjust timing or even drive boost solenoids directly. I think customer loyalty is nice when it's earned.

Sometimes I like to take a stroll down memory lane, to May 2007, when Terry first offered for sale a $2 Terry Tuner where he would take .50 cents up front, based on info that was posted earlier. The start of a not so friendly battle:

PS. I'm taking orders for the Terry Tuner.

The price is $2, but when v2.0 comes out I expect the price to go up a little. To order just pay me $.50 now, and I'll charge the balance to your credit card before the unit ships. We're waiting on the harness which should be any day now, but rest assured we're all working awfully hard at the shop (counting your money).

Kinda funny... Terry from that thread:

I know going crazy without adjusting the target AF ratios and/or timing would be silly, but it sounds like you can get away with a nice 2-3psi bump with the stock setup.
Ironic how Terry's tune morphed into a 7-10psi increase without timing control.

I think what has given people a bitter taste is in the threads where he was trying to trick vishnu into giving up information as to how the procede/N54 operates...then trying to implement them into his own gig. So in essence, Shiv kinda taught BMS the basics of the N54.

One thing BMS DOES do right is 'market' and promote a product at an ultra low price. I'll admit, I bought the jB3 the 2nd day I onwed my car. If I had known then what I'd known now, things would obviously be different. Live and learn i guess.

Wow. Thanks a lot for those links! I've read the other threads with the aftermath, but I never read anything related to the cause of the tuner war.

Bravo!! I am going to buy the book. Just read the first chapter and all I can say is "dam, this guy can really write." He holds your attention like good writer should. And conveys the information masterfully.

You've taught Terry a lot with all the discussions on the forum.

It seems like he makes a comment/point/opinion, you counter, he goes back to the drawing board, realize that you are correct, implement what you say while saying you're wrong on the forums, and then little do you know, he implements what you've been saying all along in a new product.

The cost difference seems to be made up from the lack of RD for the JB3. Well, I might be a little wrong there. He probably spent some money on hardware to be able to investigate how the PROcede works to reverse engineer.

Even with this engine failure, I don't expect that there will be many more engine failures to follow. It seems like many people are leasing their car, and when their lease expires, their car is returned to stock. No one is for certain what are the long term consequences of the tune; all that is known is that this engine can take quite a bit of knock before it goes.

BTW, How many tuned miles does Terry's N54 have? You have around 50-60K that include all those dynos and runs on the track, right?
