MaxL - That is good news for the rest of us ED'ers. I think you are the first so hopefully ours have also been able to get through customs finally. Let us know how she looks tomorrow.

After Angel Eyes mod tonight. Getting those GP thunders in was a pain in the ass. My hands are too big! Tomorrow I put in the rear fog switch!

Just got my car this morning. No time for pics but it looks just as good as when I dropped her off in Paris. Actually even better - someone fixed or replaced my scratched wheel. The scratch was really minor, so it is rather surprising, in a positive sense though. Now it's time for mods :-). I think I'll start with clear bra, full zaino detail and maybe a radar detector for out-of-state trips, adding a set of winter tires in a few months. Wait a minute - these are not really mods... Oh hell with it - probably I'm just satisfied with the car as BMW designed it. I can always get a Procede if I get bored (on AWD it will be a beast).
Good luck to all who are still waiting |

Nice ride X64 That color is beautiful.
I can't get myself to do the angel eye mod yet. The yellow ones are really beautiful, especially against the Montego (blue/yellow are compatible colors as you may know). I dunno, they look so good during the day too... Bah, friggen hard decision. Haven't even touched my fog lights yet, I don't know what they look like or what the little green thing looks like on the dash. Not sure why i'm prolonging it, lol... The xenons are so amazing... I can see so much at night, and I light up the right-side road signs literally 100-150 feet away. Unbelievable. Swerving around elegantly (not like an idiot) and watching the cornering lamps sway with you is really friggen sweet aswell

I drove her around last night and I agree with you, the power of the lights is unbelievable. I was surprised no one flashed me. I agree with you on the yellow on blue. I do however like the angels after changing them to white. Even during the day as DRL's. I had 5 miles on her when I picked her up yesterday, I've got 110 now Just so much fricking fun to drive! Finding excuses to drive her around I'm going to drive on the RFT's until they wear out, then probably go with some type of 19" CSL and probably a little bit of a drop. I'm surprised at how much of a sport feel it already has on the OEMs. Don't know about you, when I turned her off for the first time, I lost all my presets, i.e. Locations, radio stations, etc... probably a fluke as it seems to be saving them now. Funny, it even lost the preset for the BMW dealership location on the nav system! I've not opened her up just yet. Taking it gentle until the break in period is over. However I can tell she just wants to let go, reminds me of something or someone else hehehhe Have fun! As soon as the weather brightens up a bit I'll take some better pics. Happy driving! |

My Avg MPH is 19 hehehehe I've not taken her out on the interstate just yet! I'm getting 16.9 MPG, 1 more MGP than my 8 cyl Audi!
Presets seem to be sticking now. I'm still not used to the push button starts and stops. I instinctively reach for the ignition! Is it me or does it seem like there are a bunch of idiots on the road. I have had a couple of situations yesterday and today where people seem to enjoy either riding my ass or cutting me off. I had some idiot towing a SeaDoo today almost clobber me while changing lanes with no signal whatsoever. Maybe I'm just being oversensitive! |

Maxl - Good to hear it made it in one piece and was even fixed up for you. I had a minor scrape on the driver mirror that hopefully will get done at the VPC or at least once it gets to the dealer. It is encouraging to see a fellow ED'er get theirs off of Freedom. We dropped in Nice on the 31st and I am hoping that next week I will get the call.
Congrats to everyone that already has theirs too. This is my 4th 3 series (3 e46's) in 6 years and I think this is by far the best one yet. Although, I did put the Turbo Tuner on it day one to see if I really needed the extra kick. I have determined there is no such thing as too much power and it worked very well but I think I might upgrade to the Proceed and add a Boost/Vacuum gauge sometime in the near future. I have my eye on a set of 19" CSL's in Matte Black with Michelins, so I think I will add those when the bonus/play money comes in a month or so. Keep the photos coming. It helps with my withdrawal symptoms.

I'm up to almost 800 miles, though I got my car more than a week sooner than most of you.
First problem, middle bulb is out on the right rear. Only used when the headlights are on, which I've never used. Two cool things: 1. I-Drive can tell you not only that it's not working, but which light (there are 4 in each) isn't working 2. It detects the middle one is out and fails over to the bottom two. It looks silly since the left one works, but at least there is light on both sides. I got curious, and paranoid, and took the light apart to see what was going on. I swapped the bulb with another bulb, and the problem follows the bulb. At least it's only a bulb, still annoying. The dealer insists on replacing the bulb and the harness, so she's getting fixed Wednesday despite pleading for just a bulb so I could fix it myself. I guess they gotta cover their ass. |

I'm sorry but what are black lines? I did a search and every car I look at I can't tell what is different about a car with black lines. Where are they installed and is this just something for the E90/E91 cars?

Thanks MestUpKid on the black lines. Yes, that looks much better! Funny, I have a sedan 328xi the past 24 hours since my car went back to the dealership to get the front aero lip and steel pedals installed yesterday. I pick it up in a half hour and can't wait to see how the mods look. One last thing to do (for now), I get my windows tinted Friday. Last week, I replaced the reflectors, debadged, and put in my chrome interior trim accents. So, it is coming along nicely. I'll post some new pics once the window tint gets applied and settled.
And yes, I'll post a picture of the twins all strapped into the backseat soon. Here is one of the lil guys trying dad's new car out. Good thing he can't reach the pedals yet.

I may be one of the ther 2. No word yet from anyone that my car has moved from customs either. The only good news is that I will be in London next week and not able to take delivery anyway so maybe the pain will be less.
Who at BMWNA told you it was in customs? Was it your CA?
