Anybody have any car updates? My car's been stumbling in higher gears under full throttle, thought it had just been bad gas or my custom tune needed to be looked at but then I remembered my coil packs and spark plugs are 5 years old. Just installed new coil packs and spark plugs which I probably should have done when I upgraded the turbos in 2020, but holy crap does the car pull so much harder now. Sounds way better too, can't believe I went so long without doing this.
Out of curiosity what plugs and coils did you use?

Anyone still rockin the stock 335is wheels? Have you got them repainted or powder coated? I'd like to see pics if possible! I plan powder coat them as there was a lot of crub rash from previous owner but not sure what color to go for.

Ohh that's an option, looks good! I'll keep that in mind. I was still on the dilemma of changing colors and what color to pick.

For the gray you mean my car's color? That was actually my old one that got totalled now I have a Alpine White one

Thanks! Ya car color, white is nice. I would really consider gold with that color, not sure about the 313's in that color though something like Apex VS-5r or if you look up BBS RIA on white m3's they look great... or gunmetal or black.

Thanks yours to!

Yep, it is lowered on some H&R sport springs. These are my winter wheels, they are actually 17 inch Costco replicas. I'll have to post another picture come spring/summer.

appx how much did it drop the front and rear? any issues with tire rubbing? did it positively affect the handling? i presume it required a 4 wheel alignment to adjust for the lowered condition?

Hmm it's tough to say, I didn't really measure it before and after. The official specs are 1.3 inch in the front and 1.2 inch in the rear although I must say, it almost seems like the rear didn't change much. That said, the wheel gap looks perfect now to my eyes. My issue was mostly with the front gap that I found so ugly. It looks sporty and lowered and as it should be from factory now. I have these pics of a before and 2 of after below from last year with the stock 19 inch wheels.

For rubbing, I think I had some slight rub with 12mm spacers and none with 10mm on really bad roads (our roads are shit) but I am still experimenting. This year I'm also going 1 size wider with the tires on front and rear and I suspect my tire model (Michelins) is the source of it, some say they are slighter wider than others, I'll have to see, my new tires will be Firestone Indy 500 which I had on my previous car with coils. Handling wise also tough to say as well because I wasn't really looking for that, my only goal was to make the car look better. For my previous totalled car, I had went the coilover route. For the price and for what I want springs were the choice IMO. I'm pretty happy with the stock handling and a good set of tires. And yep an alignment was required.

It is carbon fiber although only the last layer is actual carbon fiber. It's mostly fiberglass. But most carbon fiber items are like that in my experience. It's also an ebay lip but for these type of body items, I don't think ebay matters quality wise, they seem to all be built the same way. This is the listing: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/175286984730

Fitment is great if you install it properly which (IMO) is with nuts and bolts. I had so many issues installing this style of lip (My last one was from RW Carbon) on my previous car, tried like most people did, self tapping screws and 2 way tape but it ether slowly came off under high speeds or had a gap up front and wasn't perfectly flush with the bumper. This time around, took off the bumper, bought some squeeze clamps and could perfectly align it to the bumper's shape exactly how I wanted and keep it in place, then drilled my holes. Worked like a charm. A bit of a PITA I must admit to hold the nuts in the recess of the bumper for some of the bolts but I only take it off for winter season.

Underbelly/Splash Guard Installation

Hello Everyone,
I need instructions to install the splash guard/underbelly pan on my 2011 335is. I had a little body do a little work, they ordered the wrong part, then gave the car back to me without it. I ordered the correct part, but it looks like I have to remove a lot of the bumper cover to install the new one. Anyone ever done this?

Thanks,
Greg

Shouldn't have to remove the front bumper to fit the underpan. It should be pretty straight forward what do you need help with. I don't understand how you are facing an issue. Like is it not fitting or aligning?

I'm not seeing how it is supposed to slide up under the bumper cover. The little wings are getting in the way as well as some other plastic pieces...
