I don't give a shit about your feelings. Being offended doesn't give you rights.

On another note, I just saw the ad for the new Ford Mustang EV, not the small SUV on the market now, but a full size Mustang. Love the Mustangs, I have one, but hard for me to get one of them...

If you are commuting from San Diego to LA for work everyday, you need to find a new house or job, not a car.....

Things got chippy over in the front page G90 thread. This topic is very divisive!

It is good to see any commentary at all in that M5 forum. It has been pretty dead for an upcoming car.

So I just took a trip to Charlotte, NC from Central Virginia over the weekend. A bit over 300 miles each way. We took the H3T, which has a theoretical 378 mile tank range. We started with about a 1/2 tank. Filled up about halfway down and took a wee-wee while filling. 20 gallons. Pump stopped right when I came back from the men's room. Wrote down my gas fill stats and back on the road in 6 minutes.

On the way home yesterday filled up when we left at a 1/4 tank. 5 minutes. We took a longer, slower way home. Two additional wee-wee stops at 4 min. each. Total about 12 hours driving with 20 minutes refueling/bio-break. Not a bad ratio.

If you wee wee'd 20 gallons you have diabetes insipidus. You need to get that checked.

Nope, I've done the volume measurements.

But sounds like EV should be marketed to diabetics...

Or diarrhea. Those EV owners have all the time in the world to finish their business while waiting for the cars to charge up

Of course not, it's a recycling plant so it must be good for the environment.

US issues $135 million in advance EV tax rebates since Jan 1, Treasury says
February 14, 2024
The Internal Revenue Service has received more than 25,000 time of sale reports, including more than 19,500 - or 78% - with advance payment requests and approximately $135 million has been paid to dealers since Jan. 1, Treasury said in disclosing the previously unreported figures.
Consumers must attest they meet income limits to qualify for the tax credit at time of purchase or they will need to repay the government when filing their taxes. For new vehicles, the adjusted gross income limit is $300,000 for married couples and $150,000 for individuals.

The August 2022 Inflation Reduction Act law reformed the EV tax credit, requiring vehicles to be assembled in North America to qualify for any tax credits, eliminating nearly 70% of eligible models.

Free Government Cheese for the rich. Hmm, the average yearly income is currently $59,428.

What to Expect From an Electric NASCAR Racecar?
Feb 15, 2024
NASCAR has been diligent about that possibility and has already worked on an electric prototype stock car. Development began in 2022 and was finalized towards the end of 2023.
From Ragan’s notes, it appears that NASCAR has developed quite the future-ready race car. The car can go speeds as tall as the regular car (200 mph) and not make nearly as much noise. According to the driver, one can easily have a conversation around the track amid the race.

What could possibly go wrong 200mph incendiary device.

I would expect a logarithmic reduction in fire risk based on pure EV versus ICE combustion rates.
