This is actually my wagon! Why sell?!? Well, I bought a 2011 Alpine White E91, 67k miles, M-sport, AWD, perfect condition - it was 20 minutes away, so I had to buy it (obviously). My neighbors think I'm nuts. I'm open to selling the M-sport, if someone REALLY wants it for a manual swap or something else interesting. Feel free to send me a direct message (please don't reply here and clog this thread):

Detailed Photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/FU8TLNeQDwhXv1kX7

  • Ownership - Clean title, I’m the 3rd owner, southern California car prior to my ownership at 90k miles; Carfax shows 1 accident by 2nd owner, the pre-purchase inspection told me it was on the passenger side, and that the repair looked good.
  • Maintenance (receipts available) - Oil filter housing gasket, starter, spark plugs and coils, thermostat & water pump (preventative), fluids (all, including AT)
  • Paint / Body - overall in good condition, but it is a 15-year old vehicle. There are a few paint chips, typically 1-2mm or smaller, and a few small door dings. The rear bumper has some similarly sized marks as well. I did clean/polish/wax it this week with my dual-action polisher. I can send more detailed pictures as needed.
  • Modifications - Black grills, 193m wheels, LCI headlights (and FRM2), Tail lights (inner) painted red in 2019, Silver interior trim, Bluetooth connection/iphone charger
Still available, new price at $11,000.

What's next? Like I told fazm, the first step is clearing a space in the driveway and then I'll see what the wagon gods have in store for me

I did, life got in the way and I failed to respond. I will take it in! The wagon is doing great, spending life in the garage when not eating up some highway miles. Believe it or not, I am closing on nearly 70k Miles already. I still love it! I see the price on the 5 series wagon is sky rocketing, I think I am out on that. I look forward to seeing the next one .

Man, so after driving the AWD and RWD back to back, you're ditching the RWD car? I'm surprised. I've found that the RWD version of this chassis is head and shoulders better.

My family has convinced me that lower mileage is important; I don't know if I fully agree, but I'm trying to accept the point. The 2007 RWD (114k miles) is a MUCH better driver - I took it out yesterday and it was a pleasure. The 2011 AWD (67k miles) is certainly different, but at least it has hydraulic steering and the N52. I plan to add the 3-stage manifold and individual audio speakers to improve the experience...and maybe some suspension upgrades too. I'm sure I'll have some regrets, but with two kids under 5 years old, I'm ok with the AWD/RWD vs. mileage trade. For now...hahaha!!!

If you're in Denver and driving 2 hours to the ski hill every weekend I could see wanting awd. I'm not a fan of awd cars where they don't belong (audi owner in FL for some years) I don't know how much snow Denver actually gets.

The car is such a low performer that awd otherwise isn't needed.

The actual city of Denver actually doesn't get that much snow. It comes and goes quickly. It'll snow a few inches, the next day it's sunny and it all melts.

The mountains are a different story. Last season though we didn't get much snow in the mountains until late in the season. Definitely need AWD/4x4 to head up I-70 in addition to dedicated snow tires/chains/studs. CDOT starts to advocate this with signage before you head up at the start of the season - you can be fined or you are absolutely wreckless to not have them

But in terms of the AWD/RWD debate (LOL), RWD would be more enjoyable for sure. Also less maintenance - one less diff, no transfer case

I hope to never have to do the oil pan gasket on an AWD N52 BMW... looks like a miserable job.

If I really needed AWD, I think I'd get an X3 or something with more ground clearance. The E91 front end barely clears low driveways, never mind several inches of snow. Yes, I know plenty of people drive in the snow, but horses for courses and all that.

Anyone know the deal with this one? I know it’s been for sale forever - wondering what’s up…smoker car or something? Says no accidents…

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/link/287152803

Considering options…on fence w selling my f31 to get a manual M2 but would then also need a daily for child seat duty, etc.

Traded hands plenty of times (7 owners??), otherwise a fairly nice spec. I would have it pre-purchase inspected if you can, assuming it has a bit of deferred maintenance lined up. Check valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, oil filter gasket, belts/pulleys, water pump and thermostat.

Otherwise keep the F31 and wait until the next gen M2 drops and sends current M2 prices south.

I think someone said it had sold a long time ago and the dealer couldn't take the listing down because of some website issue.

Exactly what he said. It's no longer available. Just a website bug.

Not going to happen immediately. There is always a large contingent of buyers hellbent on the latest and greatest, period. Look at E91 values historically in this thread.

They sold a lot of base M2s, it's not going to follow the 1M or M2CS curve.
