It's really not that difficult. It's actually pretty simple.. Even the parts people have trouble with (the rubber accordian flex pipe in the trunk) took me maybe 10 seconds to fish the wire through? A little common sense goes a long way.

So using this harness, you dont need to do any splicing, just transfer wires from OEM Quadlock connector to harness?

Do you know if it works in a CIC business navigator? I mean, the small screen CIC? I've done everything as the firs post but it doesn't work.

You still need to cut and splice, but you'll be able to do it outside the car on a workbench.

I have a bit of a silly question, that I'm sure you can help me out with. The little rubber piece on the handle has worn holes through it, so I figured instead of replacing it with the same old part, I'd get a fancy new backup camera. My car has comfort access so when I pull the trunk handle, it opens up, even when the car is locked. These handles that are posted all through this thread keep that same functionality, right?

Also, I have PDC. That doesn't change the process any, does it?

I'd like to fit a front camera at some point too, but that isn't a very pressing issue.

I went through all the pages but I am still not sure how do you ground the camera to the chassis? How do you ground it? Where do you attach the black spliced wire exactly?

There's a grounding block behind the passenger rear side bolster. That's where I attached mine. The entire seat side bolster just pulls off, super easy.

Great thanks! Are there any clips that I have to be aware of to not be broken?

Nope shouldn't be. Once the seat back is released the side bolster just pops off.

I cannot find this line in CIC ecu. Is it located in different ECU?

vertikal

Anyone can help?

looking for more input as when I put into reverse, nothing happens

Any reason why I don't see it in my .TRC?
Do I need to default all models after adding VO or just adding VO to CAS and NFRM is enought?

No need to reset anything after writing $3AG to the CAS and FRM. Are you sure you're reading the correct module in NCS Expert? What version is your CIC? 13? 16? C1A?

I have the same exact problem as the post above. My CIC version is same as well as above CIC C.08

Do you think I need to update the firmware? if yes, is there easy way?

You can use WinKFP to update your CIC module.

You can't (reasonably) update your CIC. You either have to pay the dealer a few hundred dollars or spend a lot more money trying to do it yourself.

The good news is that you don't need to update it. You don't have CIC.08, that's just the default version that it shows before reading the module. Do a "lessen" so it can read your actual version.
